Best Western Plus Addison/Dallas Hotel

I checked in for a 3 night stay. Tom at the front desk was kind and helpful but it couldn't make up for the greedy General Manager/Owner, Anytki Patel. He refused to refund me my hotel stay because he lied to Corporate Best Western and said I was given options of staying in other rooms. It was a hot Texas day and it was 100 degrees outside. The AC in my room froze and would only blow warm air. We tried to reset it, but it didn't work. Tom tried to turn on the AC in other rooms and cool them down but the AC units are too small and would not cool the rooms, they all seemed to blow recirculated air, not cool air. It was stifling hot and muggy and ALL the rooms smelled like mold and were musty smelling that were covered in fragrance that aggravated my Asthma. I had an Asthma attack in my room. I stayed a total of 3 hours and had to leave. I ended up across the street at the Holiday Inn Express. Their room was clean, sanitary and didn't smell. The AC was working and the room was cool. Please don't stay here, the General Manager/Owner is cheap; their is no AC in the hallways or elevators and you will be pouring in sweat just getting to your room. Oh, and Please write your general response Mr. General Manager/Owner about how you appreciate the great review!

It was a okay stay the room was clean staff was friendly.
But it was so HOT in the room we woke up just before our nose started to bleed we checked out early because of the heat. The only reason I wouldn't consider staying at this location again is the heat and the rules it's like a prison you can't even have guest and I was scared to wear my makeup because they charge 50 dollars if you get it on towel or bedding so you be the judge

Positive: Breakfast was ok. Desk staff was nice, and pleasant. Negative: There was a clump of hair on the bathroom floor, they didn't clean the floor between guests, and that was pretty gross. Coverlets had stains, and it is especially gross to be expected to share bed covers with the last unknown number of guests in the room.

The customer service is outstanding!! The rooms are very nice and they are very well kept. The staff is respectful. The food is okay if fresh and kept clean. Showers do leak it seems in every room out the front part but with a towel it's okay.

Found this as a reasonable accommodation after hours of devastating research on hotel reviews in that area. Although this hotel is basic, the room was clean, the front desk was helpful as was the kitchen staff. Breakfast is minimalistic with coffee, tea, creamer, milk, instant oatmeal, 1-2 fruit, yogurt dispenser, toast, muffins, biscuits, sausage, egg, and waffle maker. There is a small fitness room (24h) and a small outdoor pool (open between 10 am and 10 pm until the end of October). The Carpet in the aisles has an odor and could benefit from steam cleaning. In the room was something in the air that triggers allergies in some people, maybe the AC filter?

Have always used this Motel ( BestWestern ) for many years, when I travelled to U.S. My company headquarters in Dallas / Houston recommended and always used these Motels for conferences and training personnel. Never had any complaints or problems when staying here.

The business center didn’t have a working computer that was connected to both the internet and the printer. The entire hotel and our room smelled like a rundown motel. They were “out of towels” when we requested additional towels and told them our room number. They never brought the towels. When we came back from our outing, we requested more towels and they gave us some cheap pool towels (they appeared to be pool towels with the colored stripe). Then our hotel key wouldn’t work even after reprogramming twice. Additionally, the breakfast was mediocre. I am a Diamond member so I’ve visited plenty of BW Plus— this one specifically used to be my favorite go-to but it appears they changed management and I will no longer stay at this location.

Not a bad stay but not great. Just a bit noisy for my taste. Rooms are adequately appointed and pretty clean. Bed linens are simple and the mattresses are comfortable. The breakfast offering is very simple with egg disks, sausage, waffles, muffins, oatmeal, cereal and coffee. Desk staff is pretty matter of fact. Keep in mind that there is not a daily maid service but you can request new towels and linens if necessary and they'll be delivered to your room.
