Charlie And Jakes Barbecue

I have some concerns when a restaurant starts off the meal with menus that have no prices. Now, if this were a Michelin starred restaurant I could expect this to be the case, but when it is a chain restaurant that in all reality has no true "claim to fame", I feel as if they are reaching for grandure that they cannot attain with a bit more pretentiousness than is warranted by the delivery.

I will say that the staff was excellent and Miguel was a true gem in his service. My issues truly lie in the quality of the food for what is demanded in price (that you again don't know about until the end). Nothing was inedible. Every thing was okay and some things, as in the case of the Burnt Ends, were actually Good. I'm not mad about how things were by any means, just off put at what one expects at a price point of that nature.

I will say that if you like BBQ, (which anyone in their right mind does) then you will probably like Charlie and Jake's. The Mac and cheese was good, the potato salad too. The Mahalo Mojo Sammy was a bit Meh if I'm honest. And the fried okra are anything but something to write home about. As a meal it was fine. I didn't hate it. I just wasn't impressed? And maybe that's on me. But I still say, for the price you unknowingly pay, you should enjoy it more.

Damn good BBQ!! We started with wings. I had Charlie's Combo with pork, turkey, and ribs. The wings were perfect! Crispy, smoky, and juicy. The ribs fell off the bone, and the pork was tender with some yummy burnt ends! Green beans and turnip greens rounded out my amazing meal, and they were just as good as the meat!! Didn't have room for the toast, but I'm certain it was good too!

The establishment was very clean and our server was fabulous and attentive to our needs.. The Elvis burger was delicious 😋 it had the right amount of peanut butter my partner enjoyed the John Wayne. Over all customer service was superb.

Very friendly staff. Bar tenders make great tasting drinks. Food was good. Got the 3 meat plate. Ribs, turkey and pork were all very good food. Highly recommend.

It was my first time eating at this restaurant. I will list the things that were good, then I will list the bad things. It was very clean and hospitable when we walked through the doors. The food was very good, and our server was kind enough to give us a military discount. Even though I'm retired, and not active duty. Now for the bad things. We both ordered the 3 meat dinner. I got brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. When our food arrived, the first thing that I noticed that there were only two ribs on the plate. I would have at least expected 4 ribs, not 2. And now for the reason I gave you 1 star. Shortly after I finished my dinner I went to the restroom. While I was in said restroom, an employee entered and used the facilities. Upon completion, the same employee left the restroom without washing his hands. And this same employee was the person bringing food out to the guests. I find that very disturbing and upsetting. So there you have my review of your establishment. I understand that you asked your male employees, but I can assure you that it was a male employee who was in the customer restroom. That's neither here nor there. The disturbing aspect of this, was this individual was bringing food out guests.

A great restaurant to eat beachside
This is one of the restaurants located on the north side of Eau Gallie between South Patrick Drive and A1A. As far as I know, there are 2 Charlie and Jake restaurants in our area. Their website stated that the original owner, Charlie Johnson, brought his Alabama style of Barbecue to the beaches of the Space Coast over 20 years ago. There is parking to the west and north side of the location. You can enter through the doors on the west and south side. The host or hostess will walk you to your table. They have a mix of booths, tables, and a bar. Like many restaurants of today, it has large screen TVs mounted on most walls showing various channels and usual sports of one type or another. We were greeted by our waitress who took our drink order while we looked at the menu. I ordered the Prime Rib Sammy with 2 sides (corn and beans). The food came out quickly and was served on a steel tray with the wax paper below it. The sandwich was fresh and delicious and I plan to get it again the next time I am there. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The food was excellent and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this to my hungry fellow travelers in the area. Enjoy.

Had a great dinner out with my wife and friend. Jim the manager was extremely Gri helpful and recommended the Tachos (tater tot nachos). They were amazing, enough to split for four. They came loaded with cheese, pork, and jalapeños. The two bartenders Gri and Skylar were on top of everything. Our drinks were delicious and service was great. Highly recommend Charlie and Jake’s. They even had the Thursday night football game on too. Great overall experience!

The staff was awesome. Super friendly and very attentive. The prices were par with other BBQ restaurants. The food was delicious. A few of the ribs were over cooked but the staff was very willing to correct the issue. Ribs are a hard item to perfect so it's understandable. The atmosphere was a mix between sports bar and casual dining. Depending where you sat. They have an amazing inside and outdoor bar seating area to be enjoyed by everyone. A must try place if you are a local or just visiting the area. More food than you can eat in one sitting. A++
