Decided to come have some drinks but come to find out they really don't have type of drinks I wanted. I decided to have a mango margarita well sad to say I like to drink to relax and enjoy the my drinks I have to give it a one, the mango margarita look like one but definitely didn't taste like one. Very disappointed, the queso/meat dip and chips were good. My daughter had a Quesadilla and she has eaten many different kinds of Quesadilla and she was also disappointed how can a teen be disappointed but she was this was what I experienced. Spent 50.88 for queso/meat dip, 3 drimks and a Quesadilla plate. My visit was not happy! Will not be returning.

Used to go to the old spot on Maple and was kinda disappointed. Enchiladas was not that good and the salsa was not favorable at all. Chimichanga was decent. Service was ok, but saw someone not get attended and stood to get seated for a while and eventually left.

I enjoyed Herraras didn't know the waitresses would be half naked. 😂. The food was good although. I let my wings get cold because I was jamming on the dance floor. The dj area is way to close on the dance floor. The age is way younger than I like but who am I ? Overall it was a ok vibe.

Some of the best tex mex I've had in a while. My wife got the tamales, I got the enchiladas.

Tamales were great, enchiladas were alright. The tortilla wasn't the best, but not a deal breaker. The chili con carne was fantastic. Beans were good. Chips were pretty good.

I'll skip to the shocking bit. My wife doesn't like the rice at most tex mex restaurants. She loved it here.

At one time, Herrera’s was the premier TexMex in DFW…hands down. The newest location in Addison is a stones throw away from the old one many years ago and the food isn’t far off.

Food is still good quality, sauce has changed slightly (but still good), and the bean soup is legendary.

The reason for giving them 3 stars was the service. Waited too long for sauce, drink refills, appetizers, and waitress was not checking on us at all…it almost seemed like an inconvenience to come to the table.

There wasn’t a big lunch crowd and I bet it would be safe to say that it’s due to poor service. I’d go back again for the benefit of the doubt, but another return would weigh heavily on their serviceability. Come on guys…you can do better.
