Hotel Janne

When you enter the hotel, you have the feeling that you come home. It is lovely here, people smiling all the time and greeting you with joy. All the antique items gives the hotel a difference from other hotels in this neighborhood. Hotel have excellent location, because it is near to Riga center and also in the place where you can relax from all the city fuss.
I would definitely recommend you to stay here and enjoy all of that!

They promise to take care of you and they come through on their promise. I found the Hotel Janne to be welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast was a bargain considering the variety included. My room had some bonus amenities including a refrigerator and little kitchenette. If you would like a fruit basket in your room for arrival, be sure to let the front desk know a day or more in advance. I'd recommend staying here for anyone traveling through Riga.

They took good care of me at the Janne. Līva at reception answered questions quickly and cheerfully. I was also shown around the breakfast room the next morning and given a mini-tour of the garden out back. I thought the breakfast was generous and appreciated the selection of teas and fresh vegetables. I slept very well in this peaceful, snug hotel. Thank you, Janne!

I had a single room, it was clean and cozy. Can't say the view outside my window was anything spectacular, since my room was under ground level. The bathroom was alright, though the fact that there was no obstacle between the shower and the bathroom meant there was water everywhere, constantly. The shower floor also, was a bit too slippery. Other than that, everything went great. The staff was very kind and eager to help. Ask for Arta if you don't speak Latvian.

Very nice and old fashioned hotel with excellent antourage. They make honey that is grown on the roof. You can taste and buy it here. Marvellous.

Good hotel, quiet location is a big plus. Staff is friendly and the receptionist is nice and helpful. Rooms are very clean, but there is some specific kind of stink, not that pleasant. It also could be a bit cheaper for what you get here. There is nothing blocking the water from shower to access the other areas of the bathroom...

If you don't speak Russian don't do it. Very unscrupulous manager. Shady actors.. Foreign students don't be fooled it's like Hotel California. I am still awaiting my 275 euro deposit months after you were give 30 days notice. You had the unmitigated gall to keep the 100 euro cleaning deposit. I must have brought the spiders in my suitcase. Liars.

A cozy place with supportive staff. Quiet, tidy and with a story. Should definitely try the honey made on top of the place you stay in. I recommend.
