It was dirty. If the owner don’t have time to keep the business and just focus on the party side of it, they should just close the hostel. It’s old so at least maintain the cleanliness. Towels are old. It was probably better if I slept in my car. I don’t mind the noise, it’s just the feel that nobody owns the place. Uncovered garbage bins are very unsightly. With the price, they should consider upping up versus the other hostel that offers the same price or lesser price (most of the time) in town.

I apologize if I offended anyone with this comment but it’s for the sake of the business.

We stayed 3 nights in late July Wednesday- Saturday morning in private room/bath #3! It was pretty quiet up until Friday night, and even then the noise was not so disturbing! If you’re staying during a warmer month, check the floor by the window for a window unit fan! Works wonders to cool the room (took us a while to find it lol)
No major complaints, the place is clean and feels safe! The doors are heavy, and the keypads are new and easy to use! They provide very nice big towels for the shower, but no hand towels or washcloths so bring your own! My only real complaint is minor, I wish we had a trashcan in the room- in the private bath at least for the ladies! And the trashcan in the common area was completely full for the entirety of our stay. Minor inconveniences overall! Great place, very affordable and stellar location on Main Street! P.S. we left some beer in the fridge for grabs! Thanks for everything!

Had a sub par experience here. Service was non-existent, as in the front door was being finally and it said call x number.... Well no one picked up and three groups were waiting to get in.

Premium room with private washroom is directly above the bar and off the hostel kitchen so it was always noisy night and day. And the view was of a air handling unit not a mountain. Overall it was a $200 place to sleep and for that we are grateful given the Canmore prices these days.

Price is insane for what you get. 250 CAD a night for a room with 1 bed, 1 locker (with no lock on it), and a shelf. One light. No air conditioning but you are given a single fan which looks like it's been taken out of a PC. Room was baking hot. No clean towels. Only one working toilet in the mens. Bathroom filthy. No staff around. Parking instructions not clear and the second car park no longer free. No response when you try to contact them. The only positive is the location.

Awful. Do NOT stay here. I wish I could give this place a 0/5. We ended up leaving a day early. I didn't have high expectations considering it is hostel but wow this was really disappointing. First of all, the kitchen was dirty. There were dishes left with food in the sink that no one cleaned up. The dishwasher was falling apart. The garbage bins were stacked up and reeked. No maintenance at all. On top of that, I was sent multiple emails and texts of different codes to enter my room. None of which worked, even the emergency code. My partner and I relied on our roommate to enter the room, which he later revealed to us that he had the same problem. When our roommate's stay was over, we had to leave our room unlocked to enter. What really threw us over the edge was on our second last day, we got locked out of our room. I guess the door reset? I sent emails, texts and called the number provided, no response. We were locked out for SEVERAL HOURS until my partner had to use his card to break into our room so we could gather our things and leave. We later found out that Trevor was out of town and had left the place to be run by his friend Steve, who was apparently partying the night before hence his unavailability. We left the next morning, not completing our stay. Also, the women's washroom had 4 stalls, only 2 were available but they were clogged anyway with blood, feces, and urine for a couple days. I ended up using the men's washroom while my partner guarded. The window by the bed had toenail clippings and what appeared to be snot smeared on the walls. Several lockers in our room had garbage left in it. And our room consistently smelled like weed from smoke outside getting in through the fan. I've requested for a refund for the ONE night that my partner and I didn't stay and I have received no response. My texts and emails are being left on read. This place is overpriced, unhygienic, and unprofessional. Do not waste your time, energy, and money here.

The cleaning staff was great, the people were friendly and everyone was so relaxed and casual! Lots of power outlets and places to store your things! The cleaning staff even closed my curtains on my bunk while I was away and showed lots of trust! This this a safe place :)

Beds were comfy and have a good level of privacy. There is no official reception desk, its all through the bar area but check in is just done manually and you get sent codes to get in etc. We were 3 friends travelling which I booked and I received a stupid amount of emails regarding door lock codes for the room and main entrance, like SO MANY emails with different numbers, it was annoying and frustrating trying to work out which numbers did work on the doors.

There was also an issue with beds numbers which we were not assigned at all via email or other means but then people checking in in the middle of the night were telling us we were in their bed numbers?

Communal kitchen was in a constant mess which is due to the people staying there but it should be checked more often by staff as it was off putting. Bathrooms were also not cleaned daily.

First off, it is a self check in hostel, which I really liked. Makes for a quick and easy check-in process. The rooms and washrooms were quite clean, and the kitchen was typical for a hostel. Only unclean parts were due to other guests that obviously need someone to clean up after them. Linen was nice and clean, and a towel was supplied. The beds had full privacy screens. The only downside to this hostel is prep space in the kitchen. Whereas the kitchen is well stocked in terms of supplies, there is not a lot of space for prep. If there was more than one person prepping a meal or would be very tight in there.
