I love staying really close to the railway line, because I am a rail-fan. Excellent location. The three story water slide is a blast. The hotel room has 1 double bed, and a living area. The room was very clean when we checked in. I had to change the trash in my room a few times, because we didn’t ask for room service, but the clear trash bags are amazing quality they use in the rooms. I would like to know the brand of those because I would really like to buy some for my home office.

We stayed midweek, late-July. It was pricey, but I guess that’s expected for tourist high season.
The pool has an awesome 3-story water slide, but the pool is quite small. It has a max of 25 people, but with that many the pool would be packed, with no room to move. The hot tub is max 8. We went just before 7:30pm, with a big rush of people right after, maxing the pool out. The water slide is a lot of fun, even for adults.
The front desk staff were amazing and really heightened the experience.
We were on the rail side, which was quite loud when the trains went by, but that was expected based on other reviews.
All-in-all a good experience and we would stay there again.

Great location near all the outdoors activities and a good deal. I had a small problem with the sink and the hotel fixed it right away. Seems like the hotel is trying hard to keep up with an old building, so tell them if there's a problem. Bring earplugs and an eye mask as it is noisy with the trains and traffic. I loved having a mini fridge and microwave. Check in was fast despite several groups arriving at once.

We stayed here 3 times this past year and thought it was a good idea to come here again in June. It's usually a good balance between affordability, value and location. But i couldn't believe what was happening this time around.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds for 4 adults and a baby. We booked it at the beginning of May, so well in advance.

We arrived at the hotel around 7pm after a long day, exploring the rockies. Went to the front desk to check in. They gave us our key cards and after we came back from our cars to get all of our luggage they called us back.

They asked us to return our key cards and told us that they overbooked and only have 1 room with 2 double beds for us. For 4 adults and a baby.

To compensate they offered us 10% off our breakfast. Are you serious??????

If you want to enjoy your trip, and avoid something totally unpleasant and unprofessional like this, book somewhere else. They will simply overbook and don't care about their guest, even the ones that stayed at their hotel for many years.

Very nice place, with a lot of things nearby. Loved the swimming pool and slides, however room service was a bit of an issue. No room cleaning until our third day there, and we had to call the front desk to ask someone to clean our room for u. However, they were very accommodating and helpful for when we left something in our room. It was held onto for us an successfully returned.

This is an amazing establishment. They have great rooms, that are the best pet friendly rooms we have ever seen. Our dog was so happy. The room was clean and inviting. The breakfast was wonderful. They have a great staff, we couldn't have been happier. This was a 5 star visit.

If you love trains this is the place to stay. If you like sleep this isn’t the place to stay. On average there our about 5-6 trains per night that rip past the hotel. And if you are on the train track side be ready to be up a lot.

As for the hotel is it taken care of for an older hotel. Door have big gap at the bottom so you can hear everything outside your room. Our room door doesn’t close automatically so if you forget to push it close than it stays open. The beds were not bad. The bathrooms and showers are small. They don’t offer free breakfast but do have a pretty good pay Buffett. Location is easy access to Canmore which was nice. Not sure I would stay here again even though value was great. The trains suck.

Stayed for the weekend.
A few Cons-They lack food and beverage machines that work or had items stocked.
The hot breakfast that is free at any holiday inn express and best western was 11.99 for adults and 8.99 for youth. (But it is a 200 room hotel in a tourist town🤷‍♀️)

However lots of pros-
Convenient location with ample parking spaces. Hotel registration staff were patient, helpful, and not too busy to answer our questions. The rooms were very clean, as they were deep cleaning every room since busy season was slowing.
The pool/water slide were AMAZING, the arcade was a hit for sure! Definitely a great place to stay with the midgets.
The price was one of the cheaper places for about 225 a night for a regular 2 (double) bed room. Compared to 250+ for same room elsewhere .
