Great little camp site located just 20 minutes away from Sherwood Park! Owners are lovely and very accommodating. We were camping and were happy with the generous sized lots surrounded by trees, it felt very peaceful and serene. We were thrilled there were flushing toilets and shower facilities. The bathrooms were always clean and well stocked, which was appreciated. We had a great weekend and can’t wait to go back!

Pros: New managers friendly and helpful. Very quiet campground. Showers and bathrooms well kept. Dump station included in fee. Front office gave out freezies to the kids at no charge. Most sites are well sized with 30A power. Water taps near the sites. Some close enough to use as city water hook-up as opposed to tank fill.

Cons: Possible they expect people to be too quiet though as we heard a site being told to quiet down at 4pm. We are across the road and couldn’t hear their music and they definitely were not being loud, just talking. We appreciate quiet but that’s a bit much. The wood for sale was not good quality. Damp deadfall.

Hidden gem - this campground is hidden in a wildly forested area. A quiet place to kayak and birdwatch. The sites are huge, very private. Washrooms and showers are spotless. Left somewhat unattended for a few years, the new managers are working hard to revitalize the campground. Has water and electric services if you need.

I have been camping at Kawtikh for a number of years now. It is a quiet campground which is wonderful. An upgrade of power would be beneficial as some sites have only 15 amp.
The current managers who live on site are the best we have had in a number of years. They have great people skills and work hard. They are so very willing to help and come with campground management experience.

We liked the well treed lot that we chose. Lots of privacy and large enough that we were able to put up a badminton net within our site. Very quiet except for the second night where some newcomers were noisy but it was not quiet time yet so we accepted it as part of camping. We were really hoping for the serenity advertised on the website though. New managers were still getting their feet wet but they were very hospitable and gracious hosts. They checked on us and made sure we were okay. Roads can use some gravel to fill holes as the drive to site is quite bumpy. Recommend going slow. Bathrooms are clean and fairly close. Bring quarters for showers. An enjoyable first time experience! We'll be back!

We loved this campground! It is fully treed with mature, natural trees (none of the superficial just-planted mini trees that you see elsewhere). The kids loved the store with the ice cream and treats. Our campsite was large, with a nice fire pit. There was a ton of privacy between sites, which is hard to come by these days with campgrounds. Every worker we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful. The beach is not usable, so don't come here if that's an important feature for you. The sites do not have full hook-ups, but we still enjoyed it and would come again.

I have a lease arrangement at Kawtikh where my 28' trailer is parked year round. I have access to it from May to September. This campground is peaceful, well treed, with large lots. The roads inside the campground need quite a bit of work, toilet amenities could be better, as could water and power hookups. The lake is good for small sailcrafts but not for swimming etc.
HOWEVER, if you like to 'get away from it all' this is the place for you.
Management works hard to maintain a cared-for environment and a safe camping experience .

Came here on the weekend to visit a friend's RV spot. Gorgeous place with excellent sized spots, well-managed and friendly Canada Day activities, the washrooms for public use are some of the cleanest that I have ever seen in a campground. The staff are so lovely, access to the waterway is easy to get to and clean, sanitation practices appear to be well established. I will definitely be booking a spot for myself in the very near future!
