Dr Mark Davoren

Dr Davoren was very thorough with his examination of both my daughter and son, when they attended for completely different reasons. The kids, my partner and I appreciated his candid assessment. The kids thought he was funky looking and weird, but smart and kind!

Dr Mark Davoren is worst doctor I've ever seen. He didn't look at me or my son during the consultation, just tapped away at his computer. He has no skills at all for putting children at ease. He examined my son roughly and made him cry. His services are astronomically expensive and he is incompetent. Very unhappy with him and would strongly recommend against seeing him.

I really appreciate how quickly Dr Davoren was able to see us. His kind receptionist offered us an appointment after a cancellation (twice!), and then immediately after our appointment they sent us a letter of diagnosis with lots of links and referrals to helpful resources. I see a lot of people in Brisbane lament how long it takes to get help, but Dr Davoren was super quick and helpful and it's made such a difference, especially with the long stretch in front of us. Thank-you so much.

We see Mark for 5 out of 6 of our children that have additional needs.

I have never met someone more caring, switched on and capable of understanding so much.

Mark is easy to talk to and easy to get along with and he always has the child’s best interest in mind when it comes to whether to medicate not medicate. What steps and therapies he refers you too.

If you want an understanding doctor with an amazing temperament with your children Mark is the one to see.

Dr Davoren was able to see us faster than we expected, because they had a waiting/cancellation list for COVID. Other places wouldn't even take our details for an appointment. He gave our son a thorough review and helped us with connecting with the necessary services to help us. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a paediatrician around the North Brisbane area.

I will never return. He was so rude to my son (3.5yr) even swiping his hand away when he touched something in the office. I was one breathe away from asking him if he even likes kids because his behaviour was so poor. I was desperate for help with waitlists being extensive so i stayed i was also in utter shock the whole time. He should not work with kids and should not have the right to charge what he does when he acts how he does. Incredibly unimpressed.

Dr Davoren was amazing to deal with and was very upfront about everything. He assessed and explained everything thoroughly and answered all our questions (even ones that weren't related to our referral) he was also so lovely to our Little 2-3 month old.
If you are after an honest doctor who knows his stuff then I highly recommend seeing Dr Davoren, otherwise if you are after someone who will sugar coat things and beat around the bush with incorrect fluff; this isn't the place.
The receptionists are also lovely :)

Dr Davoren has been pleasant, professional and reliable in my experiences. He doesn't over complicate things, gets to the point quickly and provides a clear plan for future events. As a young parent, I haven't had much support from professionals and my concerns were not taken seriously so I am very grateful of his service to our family. For any parents reading this review I definitely recommend this practice, I am comfortable with the knowledge and professionalism of our appointments but if you prefer an intimate/nurturing experience you may not be as happy.
