He performed surgery on me to correct my scoliosis with titanium rods and I found him very informative and kind as it was my first major surgery. I don't regret having it done and I recovered well from it. It's been about 8 years since I had surgery and I've had no complications. 10/10 would recommend.

Geoff Askin performed my surgery 24 years ago! Still going strong. One thing i could recommend is attend regular pilates classes. Makes a huge difference in movement and strength.

My 14 yr old son underwent 5 hr surgery to correct severe scoliosis from 56 to 26 degree curvature. He's now a happily married healthy 29 yr old. Dr Askin had been very kind & reassuring in helping us make a careful decision about going ahead with surgery. We are indebted to him for reclaiming normal life for my son.

Dr. Askin is amazing. He fixed my 14 years old daughter’s spine like magic. She could walk around 7 days after surgery with little pain. She could run, jogging , swimming , dancing with her new straight back two month post surgery. We were so glad and appreciated that we found him to be our daughter’s surgeon. He is very professional and very patient to answer all our concerns and questions. We would highly recommend him.

I would have liked to see a dr here but the one i would prefer only wants easy money and wont see someone who has legal issues surrounding their injury even though you are just looking for an opinion and or treatment in excange for money. less than 0/5

Dr Askin is the person to go to for scoliosis surgery. He has done an amazing job with my 15 year old son. He worked closely with my son so he understood the procedure and what to expect. He answered every question respectfully and without jargon. Going in to the surgery he felt completely comfortable thanks to the consultation process with Dr Askin. The surgery was hugely successful. My son's confidence has already increased thanks to having a straight spine and being able to breathe properly.

Dr Askin was warm, not keen to cut (like a lot of surgeons) and straight forward with my diagnosis. He referred me to the Pain Management Clinic at The Wesley Hospital under Dr Sarah Lindsay and it has changed my life. I avoided surgery. Pain is deeply misunderstood and mistreated and I believe Dr Askin knows this. The clinic is a holistic approach to pain. I recommend this video from the group work to anybody: "Back Pain - Seperating Fact from Fiction - Prof Peter O'Sullivan" on Youtube. Whoever you are, I know it sounds impossible but you can get past your pain. I did.

Absolutely terrible. I went to Askin as everyone raves about him. He got me in and out as quick as he possibly could. I came to see him because I am in daily back pain to the point I can’t walk properly, as well as my 40° scoliosis and he asked me if the reason I was there is ‘cosmetic’ and told me ‘oh we’ll do an MRI but nothing will show, see you in 12 months!’. Might I add he didn’t even ask me about pain, it was only as he opened the door to get me out that I mentioned it. He told me my curve is fine so I’m fine.
As a girl with many chronic illness’, I know what is quality and terrible care, and this man was at the lower end of the scale. I shouldn’t be dismissed in nearly 10/10 pain everyday with quite a moderate degree curve and been taken as an absolute joke.
I wouldn’t recommend this man to anyone, and I know of many people who have had just as much as a horror experience that I have!!
