Ivan Astori

Firstly let me start by saying that Ivan Astori has been my Orthopaedic Surgeon for several years now. I recently has a hip arthroscopy done and was recovering well, doing my rehab and he was very happy with my progress. I was due to have my last post op appointment in 2 weeks. I was working with my physio and just couldn’t get seem to get my hamstrings to stretch and also had some groin pain still.
The week before my appointment with him I suffered extreme pain down my leg and was struggling to walk. So a couple of days before my appointment I called to see if I could see him urgently regarding what was happening. This one phone call changed everything for me.
I went to the appointment and I couldn’t even sit down the pain was like no other I had ever experienced. He checked me over worked out what he thought it was got on the phone and arranged and urgent MRI scan on my hip and spine. He then gave me some prescriptions for the pain and I went off to have the MRI.

I received a call from him that afternoon letting me know I had a large L5 /S1 prolapse and this was the reason for all my pain. What happened next was amazing he told me I will sort this out for you.

He made a call to a neurologist arranged for me to have an urgent appointment on the Monday and checked on me all weekend none of which he had to do but did for me.

I got to my appointment Last Monday and was operated on last Thursday morning but if it wasn’t for this amazing Dr I would still be in the most unbearable pain.

So if you have taken the time to read this review please have no reservations as Dr Ivan Astori is an amazing Orthopaedic Surgeon and a amazing caring man.
