The office did seem to be much slower during covid. They seem to be back on track now. My dog had a surgery here she recovered quickly and I can tell was well taken care of. My last visit since the reopening went great. Some things are slower at this office but it's worth it I can tell they really care about my animals.

SMVH is off the chart. I took my Isabelle there one day because she couldn't breathe. Her tongue was purple. The vet came out scooped her up and ran inside. She was in respiratory distress. The girls in the office kept me updated every 25 minutes until she was better and could go home.

I highly recommend them. I am handicapped. There is no access in the front so I go in the back. They are the nicest people and they care about their patients.

Dr. Smith and her crew have always taken exceptional care of the furkids in my family. They are always treated with kindness and respect and I wouldn't take them anywhere else.

The staff is disorganized. They didnt have a record of giving a prescription refill to my pet for a month so they wouldn't refill it again. My pet was on it for years and then had to suddenly stop. I had to take her to the emergency hospital. They put her well being at risk. When calling with questions they say they will get back to you and never do. They called multiple times to see if my question was answered and when I said no....they promised to call back by next day. A year later....question never answered. I haven't been there for a while because they couldnt get their act together and now they cant give me an emergency appt for over a month. They act like they dont want my business.

Charged $83 on my credit card to make appointment. Unfortunately, my dog's symptoms worsened, and he had to be taken to emergency vet before the scheduled appt with this vet. I cancelled the appt. With this vet as my dog was given meds at the emergency vet. This vet kept my $83. They can choke on it

Update: Dr. Smith called me to go over things I listed in my review and give an explanation of charges. She also refunded the stool kit. For that, I’ll change my rating from 1 to 3. Just make sure if you go here, get an estimate of costs.

$83 for holding the appointment, $150 when my fiancé took her to the appointment and when he picked her up he had to pay an additional $134. For 2 shots, and a shave (she was matted on the sides and she apparently needed to be sedated) this is absolutely shocking. Almost $400!!

Oh and for some reason he came home with a “pre-paid” stool sample, I said throw it away, we will have to just eat that $55.

And yes, like the other comments, they want to pull teeth. I took her to another vet for a second opinion, I wasn’t surprised when they disagreed and said it’s unnecessary to extract her teeth. Stay very far away from this place.

Dr. Smith is the absolute best! She always puts the best interest of your pets as top priority. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Her staff is just as amazing. They are all so sweet and inviting and do their best to make sure all needs are met.
