Wingate by Wyndham Vienna Parkersburg

Great location in the middle of town. Easy access to stores and restaurants even if walking. The room was nice and clean. Ac worked great. Nice big TV. Small fridge and microwave but it was fine. I got the peace and quiet I was seeking.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room I had was very clean and spacious. There was a huge smart TV and a nice comfortable bed waiting. I stayed until the last possible minute lol I don't frequent the area but if I came back I'd definitely stop here again.

This hotel is okay, but just okay. The rooms are very tired. The paint is fine, but the furniture is starting to show age, the tub/shower/floor tile are cracked, and one of the drawers of the bureau is broken to the point it is falling out. Also, the shower "pop up" is stuck in the on position, so you get blasted by the shower every time you turn it on.

The carpet is just plain bad. Dark ominous stains dot the landscape. I wouldn't walk on it with bare feet on a bet.

The breakfast? It is the standard fare for a hotel "free breakfast" (eggs, sausage, buscuits) but no yogurt, no fresh fruit (how about a banana or an apple?) and very little in the way of breads or muffins. There are 2 Waffle makers, but there was no batter. More interestingly, there are 5 hot items and only 2 serving utensils provided. 1 spoon ad 1 set of tongs sitting on a tray covered with food on the counter. Even for this price point of a hotel, this "free" breakfast is the worst I have ever had.

I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than a room and a shower when you really,really need it in the area.

The staff were super friendly. Amanda, our breakfast attendant was superb. She was very accommodating and was very accommodating.. She refilled the eggs sausage and potatoes during the last few minutes to accommodate the late comers. The only thing that I will say negatively is that you can unfortunately hear the people above you walking throughout throughout the day-and-night.

I checked in for a Thursday-Sunday stay. Upon check in the front desk girl said I was booked for 2 rooms. I told her it was only one. She corrected the problem. I checked my email confirmation and it said one room. Strange. She gave me a first floor room and I requested a change to higher floor as I don't like a room above because of noise. She said they were booked and that was the only room I could get. This proved to be false as the first night there were very few cars in the lot.

The room was pretty clean, had a nice big screen TV, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom needed new calking and the shower water temperature never got above warm ( I like hot showers). Breakfast was fine except for no juice options. Just coffee, tea, or milk.

Thursday night was fine but Friday and Saturday night was motel hell.
People in the halls all hours of the night and the room above had people staying up all night pacing around. As I'm typing this it's 4:30 am. I'm glad I'm checking out today.

People complaining about their birthday parties have no clue how much the rest of us who drove hours and exhausted ready to relax to then accommodate them. We don't get to use the pool because you've taken it over. We listen to the kids running and screaming in the halls. Or the fact you failed to put in your reservation that you was cramming 20 people who are now stomping on the ceiling above. Us travelers don't appreciate it. So before you continue your complaints there's a hotel full of people who are not happy with you. Your parties ruin the pools. I love staying here besides accommodating your disrespect for the rest of the hotel. I'm always treated nicely even though they're now stressed because you have the rest of the hotel complaining about you. I've also never not had breakfast besides waiting for fresh because your gathering used it as a all you can eat buffet with no care about the rest of the hotel. By all means please give your complaints and take your parties somewhere else! Some of us love to stay here 💕

We went there for my daughter's birthday cause she wanted to go swimming. Being it's January the options are limited. We called before arrival they said the pool and hot tub was open. We get to the pool area the hot tub is closed. Also within a hour the pool was shut down, and remained shut down after check out the next day. Due to the fire alarm going off. That was the entire reason for the Stay. The pool. We was informed by staff we would get a room at comp or free stay. Just to talk to Eve the manager in the morning before checking out. Eve the manager never showed up! The new staff wouldn't do nothing . Was told by the new staff Eve the manager said she wasn't doing nothing. Also Was told the pool wasn't a featured amenity that's why no refund. But It is! Maybe you should check your website. It's clearly listed as one. It got worse from there. The price includes breakfast. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 we was informed the fridge stopped working. So most of the food was no good. This place is the definition of a joke with very poor management ! I highly recommend to avoid this place.

I’m giving 3 stars because it’s 5am and I’m writing this, I haven’t been able to sleep because I’m on the 1st floor and all you can hear is someone above us walking around and thumping around. I also wasn’t a big fan of not being able to enjoy the hot tub and pool because at 11pm there was multiple kids in it even though the rules clearly state after a certain time nobody under 18, honestly disappointed in this stay.. The hotel is nice other then that.

Edit to add, I was given $15 off my bill for the inconvenience and staff was very apologetic.
