Colony In the Wood

My husband and I just moved here and we absolutely love it! The grounds are immaculate and all the yards are very well kept. The people are friendly, the staff is great and there are plenty of activities to stay busy if you choose to. We also like that we are so close to everything but yet the park is very quiet and private.
We would highly recommend Colony In The Wood.

Full disclosure I own a cleaning company and we clean the clubhouse and new units for Colony. I am only rating it based on my observation. The clubhouse is a great place for people to hang out and there is always something going on. Bingo night is very popular along with dancing and karaoke. The new homes are beautiful. When you are inside them you would never believe it is a mobile home with beautiful appliances and high ceilings. The park itself is very quiet and clean. Great job!

Great 55+ community in Port Orange, the city where everyone wants live. Close to Port Orange police department for an added feeling of security. Management are helpful, especially when you are nice to them. They have a hard job. The community is nicely manicured. Lawn mowing and irrigation is done by the park, as well as trash pick up and cable. Those fees are rolled into the lot rent cost. The average lot rent for east coast volusia county is approximately $700 per month on average and don't include as many benefits. Colony in the Wood is a 5 star community.

So I'm a fitness trainer and I met a client there at the pool and fitness center. I'd never been there before so I wasn't certain what to expect from the facilities. 1st thing I noticed was cleanliness and accessibility of the property. It was not only very clean but also the traffic was very low throughout the property. The gym was also modest but absolutely equipped with everything you'd need for a well rounded regimen. The pool and hot tub were sparkling and while sitting by the pickle ball court discussing her goals I felt really at peace. I was very surprised at the amenities and tranquility this property had to offer.😃

Beautiful and We'll Run community.
My in-laws lived their nearly 30 yrs.ago back in the 1972 - 1997. It has always been a breathtaking park and the people that live their have very few complaints.

New management and especially manager are unprofessional and harassing of long time owners. Do not attempt to file maintenance grievance as they will look to harass you with frivolous complaint and will not speak with you when you protest and ask for documentation or proof of complaints. They simply make up violations.

Update: Nothings changed with the immature young lady running the office…..

I have friends who live in this 55+ community. It is a beautifully landscaped development. All the houses are kept nice, with an exception or 2. If you are looking for a place to live this might be the place.

Beautiful Community, well maintained. Community Manager is amazing and is very friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. An amazing place to call home and the maintenance keeps everything nice and neat.
