The staff at Oxley- Heard were kind and compassionate at my family's time of need. They patiently helped us navigate this difficult process and were a true comfort to us. I am very thankful to them for doing everything in their power to make our bereavement easier. I do not hesitate to recommend them highly.

Very professional! All aspects of the funeral process went smoothly, including coordinating with the military for an out of state interment. I give my highest recommendation.

I'm surely surprised to see all of the Positive replies listed as I had anything but a positive experience. Perhaps they only behave appropriately towards the individuals that they are receiving payment from which is disgraceful. When working in this type of field, the kindness, respect, dignity and professionalism should extend to and encompass ALL person's involved. I interacted with 4 different individuals with Oxley-Heard and all 4 were rude, dismissive, unwilling to help and apparently below the expectations of expressing apathy or apologizing. After I mentioned my negative experience to Kyle Adkin, he replied, " your problem isn't with us, it's with the florist and in my 60 yrs, I learned that when someone doesn't get an answer that they like, they will blame that person" ummm, too bad you didn't learn about customer service and appropriate ways of communicating with people or how to deal with conflict resolution. My problem was NOT with the florist as they did their job by delivering the flowers. Kyle sent them away as he said that they were late. What difference does that make? My deceased families body was still there and the service was the evening prior. I had my son go to pick them up and he was told that they were sent away. Why not call the family to let them know about the delivery and give them the option of what they want done with the arrangements.? I'm sure they're aware of how costly these arrangements are and the intent behind why they're sent and to be so callous and unwilling to accept responsibility or apologize whatsoever is just unacceptable and they all should be ashamed of themselves for the way they poorly handled this situation.

I would like to thank Kyle Adkins, one of the Oxley-Heard funeral home directors, for the caring and professionalism he showed to my mother, my family and me as we made arrangements for my father's funeral service and burial transit flight to another state. It began when my father was spending his last precious days in the Baptist Community Hospice and Kyle just seemed to know everybody and everyone involved from the hospice chaplain, to the staff at St. Michaels Church, to dealing with the airlines. He was calm, and thorough, and kind and had the answers to all of our questions. I give the highest possible praise to Kyle and Oxley-Heard and recommend them to any family looking to make final arrangements for their loved one.

Oxley-Heard is a special place and Amy Lee is a special person and funeral director. Unfortunately our daughter passed away a couple of weeks ago and we needed the perfect place to celebrate her life. Oxley-Heard is that place! From the first time we entered the funeral home to discuss the details our family was treated with great dignity and respect. Amy and her team were tremendous professionals in handling all the details for our daughter, our family and our friends. Our daughter was a gift from God and thanks to Oxley-Heard her final days on earth were a glorious remembrance. Thank you Amy and Oxley-Heard.
