This was the worst rental car experience I've ever had. I booked the car, then 10 minutes later get a call saying that car is not available but I can pay 25 more for the one that is available. The upsell was so painstakingly forced that the guy lied to me. When I said he should just Match the price, he said he couldn't because he had other customers waiting in line for the car. So other people are waiting but you called me to attempt this upsell first? Then I call customer support, first call they for some reason transferred my reservation to some other hotel, then hung up when I told them it was the wrong hotel. I call back, next person says I have to pay $3 more but they can give me that car (even though there's a line of people waiting for it?). So now about 2 hours have passed, I finally go down to get the car and no one is at the desk for over half an hour. No answer on the numbers on some sign left on the desk. By now I have 2 co-workers and myself running late for our next meeting, unable to find out anything. Then the guy shows up, gives me attitude when I tell him they adjusted the price after he tried again to charge me more (commission based much?). Then I finally get the car, it's covered in bugs. The guy literally peeled one of the front and made a joke about it. The inside had food wrappers and dirt all over the floor, gas was almost on empty so I had to make another stop before getting to our meeting and showed up in a FILTHY car!!!!! This was insane, I want my money back at the very least. This absolutely ruined my day and made me look really bad in front of clients. The reviews online for this location state many similar complaints. Mind blowingly terrible service AND I have to pay for it!! Oh and then on return, again, no one at the desk as I'm trying to get it returned and to the airport, so that took another 15 minutes trying to call someone and then I was told to just leave the car where I parked it and give the keys to the hotels valet, while being provided no receipt, no proof that I did return it until an emailed receipt 5 days later.

I'm a loyal Hertz customer but had a horrible experience here.

1. The car class I reserved was not available when I went to pick it up so instead, I was forced to rent a class down.

2. When I got in the car, the tank was 1/2 full. I notified the agent, she acknowledged, I returned the car with 3/4 tank and was charged a fuel fee though I returned the car with more gas in the tank than when I took it.

3. I was told that the rental period was 24 hours and to return the vehicle to the hotel valet, not the Hertz agent. I returned the car to the hotel valet within 24 hours but was somehow charged a late fee.

To make matters worse, when I called Hertz customer service to resolve the situation, I was told my claims were false, the records submitted by the agent were the truth and there was nothing more I could do.

If you rent a car from here, be very careful.

Never rent from hertz again. Any location! I Booked a reservation to pick up a rental car at 5 pm. Come to find out, there are no cars to pick up at the celebration location. You need to go to the Gaylord hotel to pick up the car. None if this was listed online or in the confirmation email. Called the other location at 5:02 after being told I was at the wrong location and they had already left for the day. Only available option was the airport which was a convenient 1 hour away. Called corporate and no one was concerned this happened. They could however conveniently schedule another reservation at the new rate of $105/ day as opposed to the $37/day I had originally been quoted. Was on the line for 60 minutes without any options to keep the same rate. Spoke to a "supervisor" who was also unable to accommodate but could also just conveniently reserve another car which I could do online by myself. I couldn't believe I showed up where I was told, when I was told. No one was there to help me and no managers could assist me. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am consistently a very good consumer and have never been wronged this way before. I would understand ifI made a mistake but I followed instructions to a "T" and was led astray and not helped.

This Hertz is the worst car rental I have ever seen and totally scam. My girlfriend and I were about 50 minutes late for our pick-up time. I have to admit we were late and SORRY for 50 mins late. However, on the website shows open (Mon-Sun 8:00AM-11:30AM 12:00PM-5:00PM) when we get there around 10:00 am and nobody was there. After 30 minutes waiting, we called the number on the board. The lady in the phone told us because we were late, we have to wait 2 hours and the contractor will return. We just waste 2 hours in the lobby. But still nobody shows up at 12:40 pm. We called the same number again. She told us the contractor cannot make it and she will come back after 2 hours and let us continue wait 2 more hours. About 2:30 afternoon we gave up calling the LIAR. then we called Hertz customer service and they re-schedule a car and new location for us. i don't think this kind of service should be exist in the hertz company.

Made reservations 2 weeks ahead of time. No car available. Turned out three other customers with reservations up to two hours ahead of me were still waiting for a car. Employee was apologetic but of no help. I explained the concept of a reservation to the employee (anybody remembering the Seinfeld bit?) got another apology but he didn't make calls, checked locations, called cabs, nothing. I then checked competitors but since I had an appointment, didn't want to spend too much time and got a Lyft. Since this is the third time Hertz left me stranded, I lost all trust in the company. Taking a shareride is cheaper, more convenient, and a lot more dependable than Hertz.

I reserved a car 2 days in a row and never received a car. I was told they didn't have any cars available! I had a confirmation number that was NEVER honored!! I was just told, we don't have a car available. But, we will call you when we do. NO CALL! I will NEVER use Hertz again! Another customer behind me with the same complaint when I was there. Hertz....NO WAY!!!!

This was a horrible experience. I waited 1.5 hours to get my car. It was delivered dirty and the check engine light was on. I expect more from Hertz as I did pay a premium. Horrible experience

Completely unreasonably to grant a simple request of dropping off a car at another location within the same state. Even within the same dates and unlimited mileage. Endless loops of people who cant give you an answer and in the end totally unreasonable to grant simple changes.

I've rented with Hertz many times in the past, but looks like something has changed.

I will and would avoid using them going forward.
