It is a large base. Camp ground is well maintained and very quiet. They do have a clubhouse that has great AC, where the kids played Wii and my husband worked remotely. There are a good bit of sites directly on the water front. Everyone was very nice there. These are pictures from our campsite.

Very clean. Quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. FHU everything works as it should. Nice little beach area in the Banana River side. Drive to ocean beach access. Do not try to enter on Jupiter with an RV. Use truck entrance only. Call number posted for after hours. 4 washers and 4 dryers. Showers, bathrooms. No WiFi at campsites. Various places on base have free wifi. Wa h site has stable and 4 chairs provided.

Wonderful park. Full hookups, showers, laundry, dog park, water front sites. Just fyi.., class a’s (I don’t know about any others) must enter through the truck entrance off of A1A. The gate isn’t always open, I think it closes at 5 or 6 pm, I would definitely call before arriving if it’s going to be late.

We visited here on the way home from Key West. This is located on an active military installation, so you must have access to stay. The sites were well kept. All of the community facilities were in great shape. We had a gorgeous river-front view. Price is very affordable. Host was very helpful. Make sure you arrive before 6PM. No reservations unless active duty military, but summer months are less busy. We will definitely return.

Wonderful camping experience at Manatee Cove. The campground is well taken care of and bathroom was very clean. It is dog friendly with a big fenced in dog park and lots of areas to walk your pet. I would suggest trash receptacle for dog bags.

It's a good place to stay it's a bit of a hike to get to the back side of the base. There's plenty to do at outdoor rec.

My concern is the upkeep and overall parking at the sites. With 100 campers at 665 a month you're talking about $70,000 a month coming in. That's quite a cash cow but they only mowed once near the end of August with the grass over 8 in tall or you could do it yourself.

The washing machines the washrooms are grossly out of date.

Why they haven't paved all of the parking sites and expanded them so that people can park their rigs and cars and trucks I'm clueless with the money they're taking in.

It feels like it's a cash cow and the cash is going everywhere but the fam camp.

I get there's an electrical an electrical bill but the sewage goes out to the Bay.

The rest of the place looks like it's in constant disrepair with rust and water leaks.

I stayed at Disney's fort wilderness and it was night and day compared to the two.
I get that Disney will obviously knock it out of the park but with $70,000 a month coming in I'm curious how much does it cost to cut the grass.

How much would it be to put in new updated washing machines that take credit cards and there's no soap dispensers you have to bring your own soap and no dryer sheets so you have to bring them. I'm not implying they should pay for it but at least offer a machine that will dispense them.

There's also a drainage issue anytime there was a storm I was surrounded with water.

Parking you're not supposed to park on the grass so if you have a 25 ft travel trailer you can park across but you're still parking on the grass.

It's nice to stay on base but at least make the campsites much more like KOA or other providers in the commercial industry rather than here's what you get and too bad.

That's my opinion when you tell someone well if concerned about the grass you can mow it yourself.

Not a bad spot for karaoke except you have to bring your own food and drinks.

Makes sense though... it IS a campground.

Fantastic place to camp. Fellow veterans enjoy each other’s company. Clean, quiet, safe. Five star rating.
