Arrowhead Campgrounds

Beautiful campgrounds with pool and amenities. A little pricey for camping.

We come every year. Not so sure we will be returning. No more kayak rentals. No musical band nights(playing on memorial weekend)Almost didn't get to eat saturday night at up the creek cafe due to them closing early.(open sign was on) although they were nice enough to let us eat. Customer service was not the greatest while dining there. No broom to sweep our cabin floor. (Office let us borrow a broom but needed it right back)(we went and brought a new one) Mattress in cabin has metal spring sticking straight out of it(ouchie) as well as the rest of the springs you can feel in your back. One tiny trashcan in cabin. Pool was great but don't plan on sitting down around the pool deck any time unless you bring your own chairs. No chairs provided. I'm sad to give this review because this was always my favorite place to come. Arrowhead please step up your game.

Called after getting info from Good Sam app but it was under a different name! Sounded great!!
Well, pulled in with motorhome pulling a car - girl at desk asked me how tall our RV was because they have lots of low hanging electrical wires! It was raining and we had driven in from Memphis...
We asked about the restaurant but it was closed ...
The girl at the desk said “you aren’t going to need the showers, are you?” Well we did but she said the cleaning person never showed up so they had not been cleaned.
She said we could pick any spot we wanted - but the ones behind the building had the highest electrical lines!
We should have left ! We pulled into the site of mud and grass that was not level - only hooked up the power. The sewer hook up was overgrown with grass and weeds so didn’t even see it till the next day.
It was a dump! Looks like a lot of people may live there -
Had 2 cats running around- not sure if they belong to someone ...left as soon as we woke up-
DO NOT STAY HERE !

Should have trusted the reviews. No sign of a host and the bathrooms are disgusting. Old band aides and used bars of soap in the shower stalls. Way overpriced at $40 a night. AVOID at all costs.

My wife and I spent this past weekend here and could not have had a better time. The work they are doing looks great so far. Michael really did a lot of damage but the camp ground is coming along nicely. The staff could not have been more pleasant. Don’t know what other reviewers did to cause their experience but my wife and I will definitely be going back. Thank you to the staff and keep up the good work.

On the Saturday night we stayed it was busy with people launching boats late into the evening an very early morning. A nice spot otherwise. Mid week might be differant, We were there only one night. The other people we met were nice and polite and did appologise for the noise.

Still recovering from hurricane Michael but open and under new management. Visited last night and heard a few of the plans and it sounds exciting to be in that business. Stop by and check out the store when it reopens and the restaurant now. They reopened it last week. We enjoyed the shrimp platter. Wishing them the best and thanks for rebuilding in our community.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here, but the 1st with the new owners. They have done some major improvements and will continue to improve. Very nice, personable people. We will definitely be back!
