Not our kind of camping but it's Disney. Packed in like sardines but somehow didn't quite feel like it. Our loop was pretty quiet at night. No real disturbances except the dog that was left in the camper across the street every morning. Honestly even on the day we just hung around the campground, it was fairly quiet....most people are at the parks. Level concrete pad to pull right in. It was tough getting our 29ft trailer in. Laundry, showers and bathrooms were clean. This campground is huge. The majority of people rent golf carts to get around. Golf carts everywhere. You cannot just drive to the pool or the restaurant and park your vehicle.. there is no place to park unless it's a golf cart. Shuttle service is available. To pay $120 per night to stay inside Disney property is an incredible deal. You still get to take advantage of the magic hours for Disney hotel guests, the free parking at all the parks should you decide to take your own vehicle, and access to all the shuttle services from the campground to go anywhere in Disney. If you are doing Disney on a budget, this is it....but I would not plan to tent during the hot months! 😉

Effortless check-in, super clean campground, great location, extensive amenities... FINALLY a spot big enough to fit our massive camper and all the massive campers like ours. We stayed 2 weeks and it definitely felt like home for us. Note that the campground is huge. Many folks suggested to us that we get a golf cart to get around; however, we decided to give it a go on our bikes first. We are pretty active and were perfectly happy biking everywhere so if you have bikes and want to save a few bucks, stick to 2 wheels. :)

Best campground ever. Best staff ever. Best facilities ever. Best activities ever. And to top it off you can rent golf carts and have a blast riding around and exploring at your leisure. This is a really large campground, like miles and miles long and wide. There are also miles of hiking trails hidden here and there. Ask a staff member about them and they will mark them on your map for you to find and explore. You don't have to go to the theme parks. It's just like a regular campground if that's all you want to do. I can't wait to go back and explore some more.

We have gone 30 hours without water at our campsite, and there is no ETA. I’m really frustrated there is no solution, nor does it seem that anyone who works here cares about hygiene, during a COVID pandemic. The bath house was not clean, and I should not have to take my 3 small children there to bathe, when I’ve paid $150+ per night to camp here, after driving my camper 17 hours to get here. Do not recommend staying here again.

Been here over the years several times. I wish Disney would fix drop offs at the site. When you’re trying to back your trailer up and there’s an edge like this it can be very hard on the tires and suspension. Plus, it’s also a hazard when walking around your campsite, you could hurt your ankle. Disney, please level the sites and make sure the trees are properly cut so you don’t damage your RV. The trees are nice, but not when you’re trying to back in or get out of your site. One last thing, there are also 4 x 4 wooden post that are poorly placed around the sites. These are very hazardous when backing up your trailer or when trying to leave with your trailer. They’re low brown and hard to see.

Nice park, all very well organized and good amenities. We came with a 40' fifth wheel. However, loops are narrow and the particular spot we were in (704) was such that backing in proved challenging. Had to have someone pull back bushes and watch the front of the truck so as to not scratch it or hit anything. Some of the foliage needs to be trimmed back. Nice place though, we enjoyed it.

Our mid-October stay was exactly what we wanted. Effortless access to the parks/Disney Springs. We didn’t use any communal amenities (pool, comfort stations, etc.) because our unit is self contained, but they all seemed pretty accessible if needed. The boat straight from Fort Wilderness’ Settlement to pretty much the main gate at MK couldn’t be beat. Next time we’ll check out horseback riding! There’s nothing cheap about Disney from the cost to the thought that they put into their parks, resorts, programming, and products, so it’s exactly what a Disney-lover would expect it to be <3

Disney Fort Wilderness is amazing however for the price you have to pay, you can’t give your kids the vacation you had as a child because you’ll go broke….. the last two times we were there, the trees were so low they scraped the top of the RV. Had to complain in order the put us somewhere big rigs were capable of pulling through without knocking your AC off. For the money you pay you think that would be cleared enough then I have this problem. That is the money issue. They raise the rates so high during enjoyable times when the kids are not in school that you can afford to go there it’s sickening that a little bit of magic that you can provide for children nowadays is being stolen away by a empire made solely to provide children with a magical experience. Somebody needs to do something to reverse this to the way it used to be!
