Quiet small campgrounds. We stayed at the Amelia River camping area and it's very nice. The sites are dirt but fairly level and shaded by large trees, with a fire ring, picnic table, electricity and water. Would have been a 5 star rating, but the park has very poor signage and we had to turn around on a dirt road twice in a 33 foot RV. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful beach with great campsites. This park needs to work on the showers. The pressure is terrible. I was unable to rinse the soap out of my hair. If your staying a week it does become an issue.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The beach camping side has no privacy. .we prefer the woods.

This is a beautiful campground but we only got to stay overnight. We stayed in the beach loop which has a nice view of sand dunes and a walkway to the beach. Unfortunately, the ramp leads to an area where the water is brown and a permanent sign says you can't swim there. It's a long walk down the beach to the swimable area. The water there is just ok; I was spoiled by the gorgeous water at Ft. Pickens on this trip. Bathrooms were quite nice and very clean. Sites were a good size with palm trees providing some shade. Offers 30 amp only and it does turn off for short periods sometimes as other reviewers mentioned. I saw 3 deer in the dunes. Nice place but it didn't live up to the hype for me.

Our family had an amazing time at this campsite. We booked site D on the ocean side. We stayed for 7 days. The campsite itself is good size. We were able to fit 8 people, 2 tents one that was 12ft by 8ft the other was 10ft by 10ft, a 10x10 canopy, and a dog. The site has water but no power. The site itself was amazing but is in full sun. The beach inside the fort has gentle waves and great for children. The downside to the experience was not being fully informed beforehand about a couple things; 1) pet friendly, dogs are not allowed on the beach which we were told. There isn't much to do with a pet other than take walks on the roads or leave them confined in camp for 30 minutes at a time. I wouldn't recommend bringing a pet unless you have a RV. 2)The beach, although it is within walking distance like we were told, we weren't told that the beach within walking distance isn't a swimming beach. The swimming beach can be walked to but it is much further away. We walked once and drove the rest. We are very pleased with the experience other that those two things. I would recommend to visit.

What a lovely park. We stayed at the Atlantic RV Campground and it was pretty great. Cross the dunes and you’re on the beach! 25 minute beach walk will get you to Fort Clinch where for $2.50 you can explore the 170 year old fort. Tons life of wild life. Deer seem to really enjoy hanging out near the camp. Armadillos always seem to be crossing the road, please watch your speed around here. We saw a beautiful sea turtle while walking to the fort. Not too many bugs in the campground, because of the proximity to the ocean. We got spot # 10, which I think is the best spot in this campground with direct view of the dunes and the Atlantic. The bathrooms are cleaned every day, showers are spacious with good water pressure. While fishing off the beach you can catch red fish, drum, whiting, pompanos, etc. Oh and Georgia is just across the channel. Stark teeth hunting is big here, too! Awesome, knowledgeable staff. We loved our 4 days here and are definitely coming back!

The park was easy to find. It is located about 3 miles from Atlantic Avenue (SR 200) down Fort Clinch Road. There is pavement all the way including in the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are in good condition but watch for low branch warnings. You may need to move into the oncoming lane to clear one or two but it is very Big Rig doable..

Our site, 11, was a hard packed sand, back in, that was just long enough for our Coach with our Towed beside. Services (30 amp, and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. Some sites have a bit of a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was well groomed. Our site was raked and cleaned before our arrival.

There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did find a number of OTA channels. Satellite will not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean and modern. Showers are free and plenty of hooks to hang your stuff.

There are trails in the park as well as historic Fort Clinch. Access to the beach via a board walk. There needs to be a marker on the beach to indicate where the boardwalk begins.

There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. Historic Old Fernandina Beach is definitely worth a walk about. Florida’s oldest pub his there. We found this park to be a great place to rest and relax as well as a base for the local attractions.. We paid $35.00 (plus $2.63) tax per night and we feel we received very good value. We would be back if in the area again.

We reserved a last minute trip and it was quite worth it. Each tent spot comes with a fire pit and picnic table.

The bathrooms were cleanest I've ever seen for a campground, which was a huge plus for me.

Canopy Drive is beautiful! I would definitely go back just for this alone.

First time tent camper, very basic but friendly staff, clean and comfortable bathrooms /showers, and the beach was nearby. I recommend it and will go again.
