Camped here for 2 nights with our big Fifth Wheel. Great park with full hook ups! RV lots are spacious and pretty level. Almost all spots are fairly close to the bath houses. Very clean and well kept. Lots of trails to explore. Close to the beach and popular tourist spots. We will definitely be returning!

Camping grounds well maintained. Added feature of being able to hook up sewer line from RV at the campsite. Not much privacy between sites, no big trees or brush. Huge state park, looks like if you have bikes or kayaks there are plenty of trails and a waterway to paddle. Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is just down the road, about 10 minutes away and definitely worth seeing.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park. A wonderful park with a variety of activities to do; ranging from hiking, kayaking, swimming, biking, or anything in between. Quite a few trails that span a great distance into the forests surrounding the area, as well as a great overlook towards the front of the park. The greatest attraction is the boat ride out to Trapper Nelson's settlement, where the rider can sightsee an amazing river along the way. Additionally, the park has a visitor center, picnic tables, and a concessions area for recreational usage. Overall, a fantastic place to spend an afternoon.

This is a beautiful place. Lots of bike trails, walking trails, an amazing visitors center, an observation tower to climb and look around. Very friendly rangers and an amazing place to take sunset photos!

We recently stayed at the River side campground at this park and were pleasantly surprised. We stayed at site #100, which I believe is one of the best sites on that side, pretty spacious and close to the restrooms, which helps since these are not full hookup sites (only water and electric). The park itself is huge with beautiful scenery and offers various activities (biking, hiking, canoeing, horseback riding). We really enjoyed riding our bicycles on the paved path and going up to the Hobe observatory to look at the sunset. The park is also located close to other popular spots in Jupiter, such as the Jupiter lighthouse and the Blowing Rocks preserve. Overall, we had a great time and definitely recommend this park.

This state park was our second trip out with our new RV back in early May 2021. We booked site 91 on the river campground site. No direct sewer line so we had to use a portable tank to dump while we were there and of course they have the dump station all the way over in the pine grove campground - where all those sites have full hookup amenities….
The electric tripped on us any time we used the microwave. Had to turn AC off in order to use microwave by itself.
The no see ums are off the chart! I also got bit by a huge brown fly. There is no AC in the bathhouse. The site next to us was taken over for a child’s birthday party with many adults and all their children. Their vehicles were parked all over. They must throw parties here regularly because they knew exactly how to set up and the park staff said absolutely nothing to them.
Hobe Sound Observation Tower, Loxahatchee River, and all the wild life is nice.
Also - dog friendly.

A quiet park for a nice hike (mostly flat), plenty of trails, mountain bike trails and gravel trails, equestrian trails, and water activities as well as camping options available here. Also featuring the highest observation point south of lake ochechobe. Entry fee is a very reasonable $6 per car.

My husband and I came here in December and had a wonderful time. We were tent camping and our site was clean and came with electric and water hookups, a picnic table and a fire ring. The bath houses were very clean and had lots of room. They have several different options for activities including bike and kayak rentals and you can take a short boat ride to the The Wildman of the Loxahatchee's home stead which was a really neat experience. This state park is home to the highest point South of the Okeechobee and gives a great panoramic view of the river as well as the ocean.
Jonathan Dickinson State Park also has a ton of mountain biking trails, which is not something we do, but it seemed to be a very popular activity here. There were also plenty of walking trails, pavilions and grilling areas at the park I'd you are there for day usage.
They also have a pretty cool information center where you can learn about the different types of wildlife in the area. They have Wi-Fi here as well.
Our only regret was we did not bring our bicycles and we wish we had because there is so much park to see and it just would have been easier on our bikes.
The camp store was out of firewood unfortunately, but they gave us great directions to Publix that was just a few miles away where we were able to pick some up. 😊
Overall though we had a great time and can't wait to go back!
