Golden Chick

Terrible experience. They got our order wrong. We ordered 2 spicy tender meals, each with gravy & zing sauce. When we got up to the payment window and handed our receipt, I noticed one order had gravy and the other had zing sauce. I mentioned this to the cashier and he acted confused the whole time. I said multiple times that both orders want gravy and zing sauce. He even pulled in a cook to confirm. When we got home, not only were me missing gravy, one of our meals was not spicy like requested! This happened the last time we visited last month. Terrible service and incompetent staff. Step up or go out of business!

Chicken tenders were good. Fries were ok. The okra was the bomb. (Very good)
The price kind of threw me off. They charged me more than what it said on the menu...didn't like that. But the food was good.

I don't know if this site has changed the owners or managers or whatever. It used to be one of the better golden chicks around. But since the pandemic has been over, it's the total hit and miss. Sometimes the food is hot, fresh and really good service is great. Other times the food is cold still gravy is watery drinks or watered down. I'm not sure what's going on but until it's more consistent I'll rate it better or worse depending on which way it goes.

Customer service here is none, especially the man at the drivethru, was customer service ever experienced, rude. The worst part is they got the whole order wrong. Ordered a Fried chicken combo with a chicken tender combos, and what we got was a fried okras with ranch, knowing that we asked twice if everything was inside.

I haven't visited any location as I see them every time I'm in Texas and decided on this trip (customers selection) to finally see why there are so many locations spread throughout the Dallas area. I hate to admit it, but I actually enjoyed the spicy tenders and the coleslaw reminded me of what Kentucky Fried Chicken once tasted like prior to becoming KFC. Upon my next visit to Texas (personal or work related), I'll have to ask my daughters if they'll be interested, so I'll have an excuse to order the catfish meal and see if it holds up to the juicy spicy tenders I devoured on the trip and wanted more despite my mouth being on fire.

Golden Chick is consistently a place to visit for delicious chicken. You have the option of roasted chicken, fried fish, chicken tenders, wings (regular or spicy) and boneless chicken. Their lemonade and unsweetened tea mix is delicious. I also enjoy their corn nuggets.

The manager DJ is her name she claim and wouldn't give me the upper management information. The chicken taste like it was fried in old grease and it wasn't done. The lady was very rude over the phone and when I went in the store showed them the chicken she was rude and wouldn't give me no owner or upper management information. This is my second review on this place and I will continue to write review on each review site. Your mangers should have good customer service skill and this women should not be no manager with that type of attitude.

Love going here for my lunch break. Everything is always hot and fresh when you order. Everything I have tried has tasted amazing and I will keep going here for my lunches.
