I've been a customer of Robert's for over ten years with two successive Honda Accords after finding him by the positive reviews on the Car Guys website. I run my cars out to 200,000 miles each after buying new. I haven't found a Honda dealer in the area I trust. This is the kind of auto-mechanics shop most only wish they could find. Every visit has been without fear of being over-priced or of unneeded service. Robert's staff has been stable all these years - a good sign. Robert is excellent at communicating during a visit. I've never had to return with a problem after any type of service. Absolutely worthy of a Five-Star rating, but watch out for the candy dish if you have a weight problem.

I have been going to Roberts shop for years and I can tell you without a doubt - Robert is honest, reliable, experienced on all make and model vehicles. If any of my cars are out of dealer warranty I will always use him because I trust him and his prices are always a lot better than the dealership. His mechanics have been with him forever!. He is a true mechanic that can do major engine work as well as any maintaince or repairs.

His customers are extremely loyal for a reason. Clients from all over have been going to him for years. I don't know of any other mechanic shop that even comes close!!

Thanks,
Nick

No better place to take your car in North Texas. Robert is honest about what you need, this shop will never try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don’t need. You’ll walk out spending 1/4 of what you’d spent at a dealership. The mechanics are excellent. Erwin & Edgardo are friendly, knowledgeable and can fix anything! Robert is amazing at explaining technical terms to someone who doesn’t know anything about cars. He will even show you the parts in your car that needed to be fixed and why. No better place to go, don’t waste your time going anywhere else.

All Star Japanese is a truly great place to have your car worked on! I brought my 2006 Toyota Sienna here for the 1st time in May 2020 after suspecting my local dealership was trying to oversell me. Robert gave me an honest inspection of the car and addressed the things that the car actually needed fixed. He took the time to show me the worn out/brittle valve cover gasket when I went to go pick up the car AND the engine was even steam cleaned! I will definitely be maintaining my car here from now on.

Came here because all the great reviews and comments. I can vouch for those comments and reviews as my experience was good with All Start Japanese Engine & Auto Service and Robert. He has an honest and fair approach to repairs. Suggesting the best course of action (as if it was his own vehicle). Happy with the speed of repair and price quoted was fair. He also took care of some other little things here and there, which i noticed and appreciated. I would use this business again.

I’m currently working with Robert to have a used car inspected before I consider purchasing. So far his service and responsiveness has been impressive and he clearly knows what he’s talking about. When I called to ask if I could have the car inspected at their shop, I described the car (2009, Nissan 370Z, automatic), and he immediately began sharing things to look for or watch out for in this specific model and year. “You need to be sure the oil has been changed regularly because if the engine get too hot it can damage the (I don’t remember the part), and if they fail, you could need to replace the engine. Also, Rust can be an issue, if the underbody has too much rust, you could need to break-off bolts to do things like a break replacement. So then you need to tap new holes in the frame to hold the break assembly, lobotomy’s for this type of thing get expensive fast.” And he continued .......... This was before he knew he was going make a penny from me. The cost to inspect is reasonable - I wish his shop was near where I live.

Mother and I were at the end of our ropes with the dealership and these guys were able to save both our cars at less then half the price! They were patient and helped us understand everything that needed taking care off and what we could wait to fix later. Thanks for giving us our cars back!
