Our shop has bought three motors from this company. One had a cracked block and locked up after 40 miles. Another didn't make it 9000 miles before it blew. The first thing they discuss with you when you call in an issue with one of their motors is what they are not covering. If you need a reman motor, don't waste your time or money with this company.

Obviously subject to change the longer I keep it, but 500 miles and a break-in oil change later, the Ford 5.4 3-valve has run flawlessly. Didn't use or leak a drop of oil during the run-in, has 85psi oil pressure on a cold start, 20-25psi at a hot idle, and is as quiet as these engines can be. I did all of the recommended pre-install operations, including replacing the intake manifold and pre-oiling with a pressure oiler prior to the first start up. Overall I'm quite pleased and was able to do the full swap in just 2 weekends.

If I could give them negative 5 stars I would, the warranty department is run by incompetent especially ALEX DOTSON people that do not care about the customer at all. had this motor in my truck for 8000 miles when an internal coolant leak took out a bearing. instead of helping me as the customer and finding how coolant got in they instead just said it was dirty and that is the problem. did not even look for a coolant leak, then left all the parts off the motor that they uninstalled and just bagged them up. then dropped it on a pallet did not secure it at all not did they try to protect the motor. when I called them to tell them that they damaged the motor they could care less and just wanted to through parts at me and expect me to fix it. I would suggest buying a junk yard motor it would run better and have a better warranty.

This company’s customer service is absolutely terrible. They don’t listen to the customer at all. And they blame everything on everyone besides themselves. Their communication is absolutely poor. And when they return engines, they don’t put it back together. It’s a mess when it arrives. When the delivery guy brought ours back it fell off the pallet Jack because this company packaged it so poorly which caused more damage. Again, they don’t listen to the customer. Don’t EVER use their company! And if you are on the phone with Alex Dotson….just ask to speak to someone else. I wish we never used used their company.

While I did have an issue with the motor I had installed, I must say that their warranty department is top notch. They gave me no trouble when I showed them a photo of metal in the oil, and sent a new engine to the shop I was using within a day. They covered all of my labor costs and all of my fluids and cut a check for it in a timely manner. Manufacturing defects happen, I am beyond pleased with their customer service and their warranty department.

Buyers Beware!!
Total scum bags to deal with.
We have had to cover 28 warranty’s to date for either failed camshafts or crankshafts.
This was the engine sent Back to us that ran for 3 minutes on a stand and failed.
They denied their warranty, boxed it up and sent it back missing half the parts.
Their warranty dept is a joke!!
Never buy from this company.
I’m amazed no one has been shot there!!
You don’t get away with this in Kansas!
You would go home in a Pine box!

Company sells garbage products that are rebranded from a generic remanufacturing plant. They refuse to pay warranty claims and send bad checks when they finally do agree to “pay”. Stay FAR away from Monster transmission, AER Precision Transmission, PTG and advanced powertrain solutions as they are all under one umbrella.

STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!! Terrible workmanship. They DO NOT stand behind the product. Got a reman engine from them through Advance Auto. 20 minutes after it's been running, engine started running terrible. Advance referred me to deal with this company directly. WORST customer service ever, BEYOND RUDE! After pulling the valve cover per the warranty companies request found that the rocker arm on cylinder 6 had fell and was sitting in the cylinder head because the valve would not come up far enough which I'm assuming was the wrong valve installed by them because it was not bent it just would not come up far enough. They sent another engine out so I had to replace it and the new engine works just fine. I sent in for labor reimbursement and now they are trying to tell me that the engine overheated which is impossible. While I had the engine running for the break-in the bleeder screw was unscrewed and I had a coolant burp funnel on it which would make it impossible for that to happen. If you read other reviews on this company you'll see the same stories or call Advance Auto and they will let you know. this is now a dispute over $600 in labor reimbursement. Pretty sad they won't stay behind that, but I guess if you have to warranty stuff out all the time, you'd be broke pretty quick... I'm dealing with Advance Auto directly for reimbursement now. Unbelievable, just unbelievable.
