Absolutely a gem! The best Italian food I've ever eaten. Very personable staff and great atmosphere. We will definitely come back when we are in this area.

My family comes from Oklahoma for the food here -- we discovered Joe's by coincidence while travelling a few years back and we've loved coming back ever since! Like others have said, the prices are very good for what you get, and all the staff are super nice. They also have the best fettucine alfredo I've ever had :)

This is a true mom & pop sort of Italian joint. Very tasty and fresh pasta, definitely homemade. Menu likely hasn’t changed since they opened 20 years ago, so nothing healthy in sight. Bread on the side is fresh and pretty good. Eggplant parmigiana was delicious. Side salad wasn’t special, but blue cheese crumbles were nice. I found it distracting to have to listen to both the overhead music and the bar TV simultaneously. Closed captioning, anyone? The place is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and paint job. Tablecloth was filthy and the floors obviously hadn’t been swept lately. Would still go back, though. Super friendly waitress, too.

Christine, the server was on point when I say the best meal I’ve had in a while. You can tell she was an old-school granny who was doing her thing. I never had to ask for a refill or anything. Now the food!!!! I almost asked where Joe was. I felt like I was served a fresh home cooked meal meant for a family at dinner time. We ordered the Cheese Ravioli, Seafood Canneloni, Crab Cake, Shrimp Alfredo, Short rib ravioli, and salad with house-made dressing. We will take that drive from Frisco again for the fantastic service and excellent food.

I had been looking forward to trying this place out, because I know it is an Addison institution. The atmosphere is nice. Cute place with nice music playing. The lunch prices were great, as was service. The portions were a good size.. I also very much enjoyed the caesar salad. The stratacelli soup however was very bland, even though I could tell the spinach was fresh, which is a bonus. The Angel Hair with Marinara was also somewhat bland. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't amazing. For the price, it might be worth it, but that is about all it has going for it.

Absolutely amazing! Everything is homemade from the hot bread to the salad dressing, sauces and desserts. Christine is so friendly and made my meal even more enjoyable. I recommend this for everyone wanting authentic Italian food and a very pleasant experience!

Joe's Italian Cafe was an unexpected, authentic experience. With its quaint charm, freshly homemade food, and readinable prices, it shines as a diamond in the rough. The food, the service, the owner's presence, all create the perfect Italian Dinning event. Absolutely love it!

Joes Italian Cafe was pleasant. The food was all made fresh and it was fast service as we were the only couple seated. The waitress is kind and an older lady who will make sure you’re well taken care of and check on you regularly. The salad was so good as well as the fresh bread! I recommend the spaghetti as the meatballs were delicious and made fresh!

The interior needs work, but don’t let that discourage you from eating the food, it’s delicious!
