Very neat in all the visits I made to Banff this is my first trip here. So interesting and wild how many species live in Canada

Very nice museum to visit alone or with family. It could have more info about the animals, though. Most of the animals just have the species names.

Bring your National Park pass to get in for free and use the washroom facility on the other side of the parking lot before you enter. Step back in time as you enter and explore animals, birds, insects, and learn about the effects of climate change on our planet. The kids enjoyed the museum because of the scavenger hunt in the kid's explorer book (I'm not sure they would have enjoyed it as much without the books). They enjoyed collecting another tag for completing the tasks in the books!

It is a place to visit when you are in banff, the staff here is very nice! You'll really learn so much from all they have in store, the taxidermied animals and birds. They have variety of eggs of birds too. It was a zoo here before so you can learn so much from just visiting. They have also small talks that are done to being in more awareness about wildlife. Also, they have made so attempts to bring in awareness regarding the global warming!

Hasn't changed since the 80s - great to see at least one part of Banff being original still from when I grew up there. Our kids loved seeing the different sized eggs and the different animals but did comment that Bass Pro in Cross Iron did a better job lol.

This is a great museum with very knowledgeable and helpful staff. As an addend bonus, my wife and I got 'free' admission because we had a valid Parks Canada Discovery Pass.

I only saw a bridge and a park. What did I miss? Does the Buffalo museum also part of the park?

It's a small natural history museum mostly of taxidermy, but it's cheap entrance ($4), very central, and housed in a historic building. I'd recommend checking it out for anyone visiting town.
