Beautiful slice of the Alberta Badlands approximately 30 minutes Northeast of Stettler. Simple Provincal Park campground that is well maintained and has a couple of great nature walks. The lowlands trail is a must to check out the lazy winding Battle River and the stunning views from the hoodoo filled hills. This trail is accessed via the day use area which is down a short switchback of stairs and would be a lovely well shaded place to have a picnic. Only negative was a few folks not practicing generator courtesy and running the things all day and well into the night for no apparent reason.

What a nice place to visit. Natural prairie habitat in a wide scenic valley. The Battle river meanders through leaving oxbow lakes full of waterfowl and beavers. There’s two decent trails and lots of wildlife and great views. The park has a boat launch, campground and a day use area.
The facilities were clean and maintained. I recommend stopping and exploring for a day.

Very confusing! There is a hiking trail when you get it that is on your left but I wasn't sure where it took you so I never went. No map or anything is near it. There was also a bear warning sign. There are many sites for camping at a lot or for day use. There is also a boat launch for fishing. There is also playgrounds as well. Parking was odd as I couldnt determine where the designated area was. All in all, the view of the hoodoos was spectacular. I assume many of the hiking trails would connect you to that. It would be a great spot for camping but there really isn't much there.

Amazing trails, beautiful sites, the cleanest facilities I have ever seen in my life.

Sharon (the park ranger) does such an amazing job at keeping this park tidy. She was knowledgable and very helpful for the questions we had.

The trails are so unique and offer some very cool views.

We will for sure be going down sometime next summer!

Great spot for camping. The area is surrounded by a forest, and is alongside a small river. The hiking trails were also nice, featuring plains, hills, and hoodoos.

Good place for a little day hike. Did not camp here, but the sites look pretty nice. Not much around though.

Lovely hike on well-maintained trails. I brought the kids bikes and we walked. The hoodoos were beautiful! The kids also enjoyed the playground.
