Cool place. They honored my late Aunt Wilda here today. Volunteer and curator of the Stettler museum for over 30 yrs.

I grew up going to this little museum whenever I visited my grandparents in Stettler. It's a wonderful place with wonderfully preserved buildings and artifacts, and great activities through the year. Highly recommended.

Kids or just a bit of fun.

This museum is one of Alberta's best kept secrets. Plan to spend an entire day to enjoy all of the buildings and displays. A couple of hours will not be nearly enough time!

Generally, I'm a five star dude, but I have to give the Stettler museum a three. Mainly, I'm not much of 'learning' kind of guy. I see myself more as a man of action - a super hero of a sort if drinkin' and collecting pogey were superpowers. Ha!

Anyhoo, that being said, I found that wandering around a bunch of old buildings and glancing at plaques pretty dang boring. Also, them old timers didn't have a ton of time for folks in wheelchairs, so my buddy Randy couldn't get inside some of them. I had a peek and let him know that they were just more dusty rooms with boring plaques inside, but he wanted to see for himself and couldn't. He may have said a few... unfriendly words to the staff and for that I apologize.

I wonder what they did for folks who got paralyzed driving drunk in the 1800s or whatever. Something for the history scientists to figure out I suppose.

Definitely one of the best museums I’ve ever been to! Absolutely loved and there is such amazing things in each of the buildings. The museum is very inexpensive which allows you and family members to go again and again. I could spend hours at this museum just looking at the great variety of artifacts. There is always something to learn in each room and overall I had an amazing experience here and I’d most definitely recommend it to anyone!

Very nice small town museum. Nearly everything is labeled and explained, and there are several buildings showing different aspects of the pioneer life, like a court house, a school and a train station.
