1. Remember it is "as it is" basis.
2. Try to view the car and start the engine if possible. There may be some other issues that came up with the car by just sitting for long at those locations.
3. Be aware of all charges after the auction.
4. You can actually buy very good cars here with little spend.
So goodluck guys...
Edit: Manger asked for more pictures but never contacted me after that. He said I should have talked to him before leaving, but that's not the issue. If a buyer hiers someone else to pick up the vehicle the blame would be on the driver for the extra damages to the car and Copart will never take the blame.
Photos in App showed no damage at all, when I went to pick it up I notice a hit in the front bumper. Likely from their loader.
I reach out to the manager, Vincent at the time. He went out there and tried to fix it but the bumper had a crack.
In the end he offered to refund me for it if I chose to. I ended up taking it and replacing the whole bumper but that was my choice, they were willing to work with me and that’s enough.
Vincent is a great manager from my person experience, the ladies that works at the office are also very great always have a smile.
2- be aware of thift cars! Most of them that comes from out of province STILL has the theft flag and you won’t be able to get any registration documents and you’ll have to wait for couple of weeks for Copart to sort it out with the insurance.
Had it 3 times before.
3- BEWARE OF SCAMS, there is alot of duct tape and skitchy stuff going on to make cars look decent. cars with no keys usually mean more problems than just a key, I bought a 2019 Honda that says NORMAL WEAR and turned out to be a broken transmission. Thus do your FULL homework before purchasing because baby if you win it’s yours no matter what excuse you come up with. Go see the car in person otherwise you are gambling.
Hey Copart,
the title of the car/theft flag should always be checked out before listing vehicles for sale.
Some of us on a tight budget and simply can’t afford to have our money freezed for weeks and months.
Also, it would be nice if buyers have access to the Carfax report that you require from sellers on every lot you list on Copart.
And take it easy on the vest thing! Have some to lend to buyers, I already have a collection.
Leave a thumpsup if you find this useful.👍🏼
It was either I pay 4,000 or Get $600 taken out of my account for not taking the car.
Worst car buying experience every, my friend was not able to go inside either becuase he had an orange reflective vest and not a yellow (yard workers had orange just like mine on)
I would NOT reccomend buying from Copart, your better off buying from dealerships, facebook, kijiji, etc…
