The campsites were very clean and quiet. Shower facilities were spotless and new. The location made it very convenient to visit New River Gorge NP. You’re about a few miles from a gas station and there’s a small grocery maybe 5-10 minutes away. The park is really quiet at any time of day and I enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds - what a treat :-)

Babcock State Park in West Virginia.... There is nothing more beautiful than the sound of moving water with a scenic view to match! Just spending time watching the grist mill wheel turn will sooth your soul. Walking along a thin drive and down into where the cabins are nestled is amazing and beautiful.
While walking down to the cabins look up at the massive boulders balanced atop of each other or turn the other way and look down into the flowing waters and dense trees where you can barely see the gorgeous cabins that you can rent.
Take a walk through the grist Mill to see and learn about how things were done. The Mill is still operated and is actually constructed of pieces from other Mills around the area. You can still buy products produced by the mill in the well stocked gift shop.

This site was so peaceful and gorgeous. You can sit for hours and just relax. If you go, walk through the Mill, it's really cool.

Great selection of souvenirs, hours posted are close at 6 pm, when they close at 530. But let's be honest the waterfall is the real show here. One of the best views in WV so far, great spot for 4 seasons photos.

Beautiful views. Great grounds. The grist mill is open on the weekends but is still operational! And when it is in stock, you can even buy the cornmeal from the grist mill

Must visit if you are coming to West Virginia. Amazing place with both easy to moderate and hard hikes for the family.
