North Mountain Vacation Rentals

Quiet getaway out in the middle of nowhere. If you're used to a fast paced lifestyle, this I'd definitely the perfect change of scenery. The owner was so nice and helpful! No cell phone service was probably the best part. It was a true getaway in the mountains. We had the Outlook Cabin. I would recommend this cabin for the great views and spacious inside. When we were there we made friends with the very friendly horses in the pasture as well as some new puppies! Overall, it was a great experience and the prices were also really great too! I can't wait to go back again and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to truly get away!

We were able to get away and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! It was perfect!! Pattie was great to speak with and we had some nice talks!! Since we live only 90 minutes away, we've seen the sights and done the tours. We wanted NO STRESS!! And we found it here!! Will definitely come back!! Thanks so much, Pattie & Terry!!

My husband and I had never been to West Virginia before, and this was the perfect place to stay for our first time! It was a peaceful, beautiful setting with a comfortable and clean cabin. The hosts are very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place!

These cabins are heaven!! Exceptionally clean, beautifully appointed. If you are looking for a secluded mountain getaway, look no further. We hated to leave, and can't wait to go back. Patty & Terry are great hosts.

We had 6 people spend 2 nights in the "Guesthouse" Cabin. Very comfortable. There is a queen size bed on the first floor and 4 single beds upstairs. Additionally, there is a sofa bed on the first floor if more space is required. Nice size equipped kitchen, though we only used it for breakfast. Both the bathroom and kitchen were fairly new renovations as of 2022. The bathroom includes a washer and dryer.

Loved this cabin, the owners, the scenery, and the wildlife. Recommend!

I took my kids to see the mountains of West Virginia. (From Cleveland.) This was the second location/ cabin we stayed at during our week long trip.
This Overlook cabin is spectacular.
It's rustic, the back porch is wonderful, secluded with hummingbird birds buzzing around and overlooks the horse pasture. Trees were blocking the view of mountain side which is expected during summer months. There are a couple dead trees that could come down that would open it up.
The interior was clean. It has a dishwasher which makes clean up easy. It also has a washer and dryer! The shower was also great.
The fire pit outside was in a perfect location, down this slight slope which made it secluded from views from the other cabins. (The cabins are not close together.) They also have a permanent charcoal grill. (like you see at the parks.)
I didn't have charcoal so we cooked over the fire.
The owner Pattie is super friendly.
There is no cell service and the wifi was not working for us. If you have kids, don't rely on internet to keep them entertained. It was not much of a drive before I got cell service. There is satellite cable.
Its close to smoke hole caverns, Seneca Rocks, Seneca Caverns and Dolly Sods. (Dolly Sods was wonderful. We went to the Bear Rock section of Dolly Sods..) There are also trails nearby that take you to the top of the mountain.
The place is a gem and priced right.
I liked that if you leave the place like it was when you arrived (and follow the rules. ), you won't get charged a cleaning fee.
