One of the must-see historic and unique buildings in southern, West Virginia. The Coal House is a great place to start your journey of touring the area.

Okay for one supposed to be a coal house, but it looks like painted bricks black of course the inside is modern it is all sheetrock and would. Sorry but it just does not look like a cold house. Looks like they would try to preserve it as a coal house and not try to make it modern. Was not recommend the trip there nothing really to see but a statue of an Indian outside.

The coal house is an amazing architectural feat. It has a beautiful statue of Chief Logan of the Mingo tribe.

We rode our atvs from the Hatfield McCoy trails to check it out. The staff treated us like we were one star people in a five star restaurant. No thankyou. Spend your time elsewhere.
