Ella & Company

Ella & Company is both a store and a storefront for Erika Smith, wedding planner, which is what I am reviewing. The store is very cute and has lots of eclectics, though be careful of the hours- Erika is super busy with weddings and the store hours can change!

As a wedding planner, Erika is INCREDIBLE! She devotes herself completely to each and every wedding and makes it incredible in its own way. We wanted an out-of-the-box wedding and threw her some wild ideas that she created beyond our wildest dreams! We received so many complements that our wedding had "personality", which was completely thanks to Erika taking our ideas and creating a beautiful, fun, seamlessly organized atmosphere that hit every idea we had and then some. But it's not just the planning; the work she does behind the scenes, working with every vendor, staff member, and volunteer both before, after, and during the event made it a worry-free dream that we enjoyed every moment of despite weather, vendor drama that we didn't even know about, and ridiculous requests and ideas. I wish we could get married again just to see what else Erika could do!

Ella & Co’s touch was evident with the absolutely stunning use of a very unique palette in her florals, illuminating candles & oil lamps, autumn wreaths, an outstanding centerpiece featuring rose bouquet arbor & rustic wooden barrels as flower stands to create a celebratory spirit at the country church wedding today enhanced with charm & warmth! 🍁🍃🍂

Erika is Simply Splendid! She shared her gifts today in a most marvelous way. We are still in awe of her “special effects” as a double rainbow appeared in the northern sky at the wedding reception’s conclusion!?

Erika planned, designed, decorated, and did florals for our August 2018 woodland wedding. I recommend her a million times over. She had such an incredible eye for detail, our wedding felt lovingly and thoughtfully planned from start to finish. Erika is a true artist. We felt like she totally was on the same page with us from day one. Somehow she manages to be both friendly and relaxed, while also thinking of so many details and ideas.

Erika coordinated our vendors seamlessly, was super professional, responsive and patient with our many questions, and was up-front and honest with her pricing and services. You can truly appreciate the heart and soul she puts into her events. Our wedding was more incredible than I ever dreamed of, and I can’t imagine anyone else but her putting forth the time, skill, and effort to making our day so special. My flowers were breathtaking, and the decor looked like it came straight out of a fairytale. Erika is a true craftswoman, and down to the details, crafted us a bespoke, unique, and stunning wedding.

My husband and I stopped in to browse on our way to Blackwater Falls. The shop is beautiful and Erika is lovely. My husband found two beautiful lanterns with his family name. I wanted to purchase them for him as a gift and told Erika what I wanted to do. Unfortunately, my husband was done browsing and I was unable to complete the purchase. Erika offered to Bill me and ship the lanterns. What a lovely gesture to help me surprise my husband! I can't wait for Christmas!

I love the place and so does my wife. I've bought WV folk items, beautiful wreaths and cut flowers, and jewelry, all with that Canaan Valley feel. The owner is very personable. I highly recommend it.

Great little store. We stopped by and smelled all the scented candles. Really nice shop for gifts and little things you can't find elsewhere. Will definitely be back again.
