The school is nice and the teachers are too. However, the administration is HORRIBLE. It will take you 3 weeks to even meet with a counselor regarding a schedule change, and then they tell you to schedule a parent conference.

I am ratings this as a student and someone who has graduated from this school.
This school's staff (teachers) mostly care about their student's wellbeing and their education. Most come from families that migrated to this country so they will have an understanding if your son / daughter needs more attention in that area for education.

There is programs for esol students to learn English. When it comes to testing, this school has been harsh. I still know many people that go to this school and it seems that they are been overly pushed to this type of testing. The education provided by teachers is excellent but the only thing that is stopping me from giving this school five stars is the amount of testing being provided but students have the choice of being put in classes that require extra testing such AICE / AP. On top of the testing provided by our district. The other thing, ESOL students need to be given more attention or even a class for them to feel integrated or encouraged to be apart of the population or feel fine about being somewhere new to them.

This school prepared me well for college and the work in college makes me feel too easy compared to the work I received in high school. This high school provides many gateways of learning such as tutoring and the teachers want to help you pass. The counsellors want to see you pass as well. They will warn you when they can't help you before you make a choice. This school has staff members who can open opportunities for college and they will help you with anything you need.

If I didn't go to this school, I'd be a whole other person.

The school is nice looking but the staff in the office are very rude and make new rules every time you go. They are not considerate at all and don't even bother speaking to a counselor because you will never talk to them. Also, the ladies in the main office always think they are the directors of the school and treat you not like you deserve to be treated. Definitely don't recommend ever passing through the office to pick up your child early or anything else. There hasn't been a time I don't encounter an issue in the office and I'm always very patient and passive.

The administration of this school could improve a lot. There were a few people that were actually nice to students, teachers, security staff and some office staff. The rest were plain rude to students, and they had major favoritism at the school. I went here for 4 years, and even though I had some good memories, I would not go back. Unfortunately, they don't seem to care much for the students. At least it felt that way for a lot of people.

The administration is horrid when it comes to how they treat students and parents alike, Kids get referrals for wearing sweaters that aren't school colors, and crossing there legs, their are teachers who have thrown batons at kids, have fought and taken off their shirt too fight, and has made children cry for not being good enough singers. This school simply switches kids left and right to other teachers so they don't lose their teaching careers. Overall the adults act more like school yard bullies purposely out to get children in trouble for the most minuscule of things. The administration try's to gain money by forcing many kids to go to aice and more advanced classes, many fail not being able to switch out of those classes and they do this so that they can earn more money. I on the other note have been a victim of Some emotional abuse by teachers for my sexual orientation with no action taken to those teachers. As a student of four years who passed all my highschool requirements and never gotten in trouble for anything Very disappointed. 👎

The worst school is this one. While there are many teachers that truly do care and are excellent, there are many that are unprofessional and rude. One even sexist. I had a terrible time. This school is very disorganized and the lunch is awful. Too much focus on testing and not enough on actually teaching the kids something. I left thank Jesus. Only 2 years there and I felt lost and disillusioned. Some teachers need to be kicked out and the administration knows it, but they don't do it. Also getting to counselors is impossible. Don't count on having the classes you want. That will not happen. Barely any students actually care about learning.
It's sad.If you do go, I recommend Holocaust/Contemporary History with Chait, Carmona, Valdez math classes, history teachers are pretty generally amazing. Don't pick chorus, guitar, and piano. Just don't. Save yourself. Pick art or beginning band to fill in that arts requirement. Good luck.
