Kathleen High School

I went 09-13 at Kathleen High School. Originally I thought the school appeared very laid back, and like they didn't care what happened with their students. The more I went the more I realized that almost every teacher there legitimately cares what happens with their students. Even today, when I am over there for some errand or something I am recognized and asked how my life is moving forward by the teachers.

I attended a basketball game recently and I have never seen such disrespect happen after a game. Normally after a basketball game the teams lineup on both ends to shake hands, but not Kathleen. They decided to act like they were going to walk and shake hands with the coach from the other team and in the process turned around and gave the coach their back and walked away laughing. What kind of crap is that. The funny thing is Kathleen won by 20 points so why be so nasty and disrespectful. Then throughout the whole game Kathleen parents were so rude and obnoxious. There sportsmanship sucks and their coach did not hold them accountable for their actions.

I attend this high school and have recently moved from a different state. They are completely disorganized. If you plan on putting your child in this school, be prepared to have no idea what is going on. I came into the school with an open mind. I told all of the teachers I'm a new student from a new state. Only a few out of my seven teachers gave me at least a small piece of guidance. Almost everyone acted like I wasn't even there when I asked for help. They treated me like I should know exactly what they're talking about even though I've never even been in this state before. They're underachievers.

I would give this school 0 stars if I could. Some teachers can't be bothered with students and just let them do whatever they want. Administration apparently does not know how to use a computer or phone because they can never answer you back or if they do answer and you need help with something, they never do anything. Being a graduate from this past year and sending multiple emails about having volunteer hours submitted that I reported to them 3 months ago, they won't do anything!

A school of great diversity and dedication, and the mother school of CFAA, located off main campus, at the airport. Students come from a broad spectrum of ethnicity and cultures, yet mesh well. Staff is dedicated to raising the sights of each student through education and team work.

I Survived for ONE YEAR!!!!!! I should get a medal. But in all seriousness. This school needs to be shut down and destroyed. I'm sorry for the kids going there now, I'm sorry for the teachers that are trying to make a living and rest in peace for the friends of 2015. Will not be forgotten.

Kathleen is the best school in Polk County. I highly recommend this school to anyone. They are very accepting of different cultures.

I was a student here from 2014 to late 2017 and let me tell you that it was the absolute worst experience of my life. To prevent this from becoming a novel, I'll just list everything. If you're a parent thinking about forcing your kid to go here, heed this warning.

- At least 10 bomb threats a year. I wish I was kidding.
- Lots, and I mean LOTS of racism.
- Disgusting and destroyed restrooms, you're very lucky if you get toilet paper (pics attached)
- Nazi propaganda in classrooms (pics attached)
- On more than one occasion teachers have told me to "just drop out." Of course they would deny it after I make a report and no further investigation would be conducted by their higher ups.
- A condom was attached to a desk leg and was there for the entire school year (pics attached)
- Finally they kicked me out for no reason and did the same to my boyfriend a few months later just because he associated with me. I'm sure this is not the first time they've done this to students.

People deserve to know what really goes on behind closed doors and I'm convinced that people leaving four and five star reviews have been paid to do so. There are terrible events that I've personally gone through here also but I believe I've made my point.
