I cannot say enough good things about this school and the administration. My son switched to this school from a magnet high school where he did not have a good experience due to cliques and poor attitude of teachers. It was his senior year and we were not sure if he was going to make it to graduation. But what I saw at this school that lacked at the other- teachers who really care about the student and admin who will work with you ensure that your student has options so they can graduate on time. The only complaint I have is that if your child is late to school, although no fault of their own, they get a lunch detention. I think that is unnecessary and not good for the kids.

Graduated from there in 1984. At the time the school was absolutely terrible. Having attended schools up North, FPCHS seemed like a jail and the academics were pathetic. Nothing but bad memories from this place. Maybe times have changed and I hope they have, as the students deserve a place to learn in a safe environment. I remember so much segregation amongst the students, the fights almost daily. Again, not sure of today, but in the 80's the place offered 3rd world facilities and teaching.

I'm going to this school and i heard you cant have cellphones out during lunch.
i think we should be able to use them during lunch because this is our time not teachers time! just llike what teachers do to us they dont even want to think about us at their lunch breaks! i would personally not let kids use phones during passing periods cuz we only got like 4 min and if their thinking about their phone their chances are probably going to be tardy.

Most the staff are hoodlums, there's staff there that wear grills to work everyday. Wouldn't allow me to view a video the directly related to me, which violates my right as student according to FERPA and AASA (read below)... Nice Dean Colo. Easily the worst school I've been to, and I've been to three separate highschools. Not all teachers there are that bad, & that's the only reason they didn't get one star.

"The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is the federal law that governs educational records and surveillance in schools. According to FERPA, images of students captured on a school's security tapes are not considered educational records. Hence, these tapes are not private and may be shared with the parents of the students. The AASA site clarifies that, in 2004, the U.S. Department of Education’s Family Policy Compliance Office stated that if more than one student is on the tape, all parents must consent to disclosure. However, more recently, the compliance office informally stated that a parent of any directly involved student would be allowed to view the footage, but not permitted to receive a copy unless the other parents gave consent."

Terrible school won't do what there supposed to to help the students. All they care about is the money they get for each child attending. My son hates it here &Lord knows I do. I just pray things get better. This is not a school that cares....

Fort Pierce Central one of, if not the best high school in Florida. The teachers are very friendly and engaging, and the administrative staff does their best to keep students safe.

At last night ‘ s jv football game they showed not one ounce of respect for our country, flag or themselves by not coming onto the field for the playing of our anthem. They are children not adults representing the NFL. They have no clue what it is about and it was very unprofessional that their coaches even allowed this to happen
