Magic Needle

$70 to hem a dress and shorten sleeves on a jacket (because they had a lining). I’ll stick to Sew and Tell where the product is done on time, and they charge a fraction of the cost this place just took me for.

My wife brought a few simple items that needed repair. Was told we would have them a week later. We came to collect them and they were not ready. Was told to come back at 4:00 the same day. We left and returned 10 minutes before 4 and the door was locked and the business was closed for the day. We called several times (as the ‘Open’ sign was still lit) and no response.

We needed these today for an event that occurs later in the week before they reopen. Aggravating and disappointing that promised completion times are not seen through. And closing early afer telling someone to come back? Terrible business practices.

Even more frustring is that they do a good job. But, all things considered, bypass this place. Clearly time management is an issue and you as a customer are not important.

For alterations, I will only go to Magic Needle. They take an amazing amount of time and care and have even called me with recommendations while they are working on something for me. Everything is done timely and in a professional manner but what is valuable and impressive to me is the patience, care and detail oriented way they do fittings and alterations. For them, almost nothing is impossible. If something matters to me, I go to them.

I left Alicia and Suzy the owner 21 items to be altered which i have done many times over the years. After not hearing anything after 2 weeks i called to find out she hadn’t even started on my clothes. I was shocked! What kind of customer service was this??? She said they would be done a week later…3 weeks after they were dropped off. I called 2 times to confirm they would be done and they said yes. When I finally came to pick up my clothes only 4 out of the 21 items were completed even after calling to confirm several times.I’m absolutely devastated that I was treated so poorly. They never once told me the truth! What’s worse is bc she didn’t do my clothes for so long that she totally forgot what she was supposed to do alterations wise, and ruined one of my long rain coats and a very expensive St. John suit jacket!!
Terrible customer service and being lied to constantly is unacceptable!!!

Linda is very nice and did my clothes really good! Definitely coming here again!

I love bringing my clothes to be mended here. They are always done the way I wanted and finished within a week.

I take everything to Mrs. Lin! I'm a seamstress myself but anything over my head or too time consuming I drop off here. It's always done well, quickly and for a great price!
