Worst ER visit. Took over five hours for a doctor to finally come see me after having to ask the nurse what was going on. Dr. finally came and brought me into an office which is not a room for patients and it was filthy, two separate gauze pads with someone’s blood on them on the chair and floor. The doctor did not have my chart did not know anything about me did not know if I had any blood work done x-rays done nothing for the five hours that I had been there. I’m 72 years old and was told that I was not a top priority patient when I had high blood pressure and shortness of breath. So when I asked you to be discharged and for my IV to be removed I was rudely answered too by nurse Elise, she immediately grabbed the papers to discharge without medical advice. I have never felt so in valued and unheard by medical practice. If you need to go to the hospital I recommend driving somewhere else you’ll get seen sooner than you’ll waiting in this place.

I was admitted to the emergency room because I had symptoms of a heart attack. While I’m in there my blood pressure spiked very high so they gave me some thing for it. When I first got in there I was so cold one nice nurse came in with a warm blanket. I started feeling my head pounding so bad and nauseous. I was still very cold I asked one of the nurses for a blanket. No one came in. Finally after an hour somebody brought me a blanket. Then I had to go to the restroom , someone unhooked me from the machine. When I came back in the room I sat for a half hour on my bed holding my head because my head was about to explode and I had a barf bag in my other hand. Apparently nobody was concerned and nobody helped me. I thought from the noise and the laughing that all the nurses were having a party in the emergency room. I have never been so upset that nobody was coming in to check on me. Finally 2 o’clock in the morning they brought me to another room in the cardiac section. The nurse looked at me and asked me what was wrong. I told her my head was exploding the nausea was horrible I was freezing. The next thing I know she left the room came back in five minutes with something to help me with my head my nausea two blankets and two pillows. I cannot say thank you enough to the cardiac section for being concerned and making sure that I was comfortable and at ease. Also it was so nice to have the quietness at the cardiac section because the loudness in the emergency room was unacceptable. I have been emergency rooms and you can hear a pin drop. Again thank you to the cardiac section to all the nurses and doctors that cared for me and showed concern thank you again

This is our first time visiting the ER and hospital. I think long wait times (it's a Sunday too) are to be expected in these trying times. They are being very nice and attentive. They're doing their best. Everywhere is short handed and these folks work tirelessly on their sore feet with their aching backs to take care of us and our loved ones. No one is perfect but these folks are pretty darn close. The charge nurse Amanda is very sweet and thorough. So far, I'm very comfortable leaving the love of my life in their hands tonight.

I went on a holiday weekend, which anyone with common sense knows is when folks go frequently. So I expected busy. What I didn't expect was the sheer number of patients too self absorbed to realize that their manageable issues were not as important as people in critical condition. The Staff were kind, and patient though a bit lacking in communication of updates regarding tests and updates to care plans. I do understand being short staffed. The 4 of 5 stats is because their waiting room is tiny and poorly laid out to accommodate the number of wheelchairs often needed in communities such as ours with an aging population.

The single initial triage was fast, and even more efficient was someone there ordering the needed labs and tests. The front desk needs a dedicated person for shuffling people, answering questions, and doing check in protocol as the two people sharing the task when I was there were running their tails off doing many things and it caused some unneeded bumps on processing.

The treatment process was easy and as they were full up did not require me using one of those godawful hospital beds. Just hooked me up and let me sit. They caught an issue i was unaware of and I am thankful. All in all great job .

I have to say, out of the two hospitals that we have been to since we moved here Citrus Memorial Hospital should deserve a number 10! Everyone from housekeeping, food service, nursing, ER staff, other staff that I have met, right up to the Adminsitrator herself are some really wonderfully dedicated folks!

The cleanliness of the hospital and the rooms in the ER, the volunteer staff, who got us something to drink while we were waiting, to those that asked how my loved one was doing. They even had a diversity luncheon today and invited anyone that was in the hospital to join them. The luncheon was absolutely wonderful, the food was exceptional. Thank you Citrus Memorial for doing all that you do. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone that is looking for a Hospital with caring, compassionate staff and administration. The next time I feel like I need to go to a hospital this is where I'm coming.

My husband received wonderful care in the ICU. The staff was so compassionate and always making sure he was taken care of. They made sure they met all of his needs. They were great to fill me in on how he was progressing or any setbacks. We were on a first name basis with them and they treated my family like their own.

Beginning to end excellent experience. I have worked in hospitals for years, accompanied friends and family to multiple facilities, and not experienced this level of care. The staff, including David LPN who was outstanding in attention, and Dr. Anderson in bedside manner, and administrative representative were all friendly. The atmosphere was quiet despite being very busy and my space in the hallway near the station. I was impressed. Thank you CMH for taking a scary experience and helping me through it.

I was taken care of immediately and looked after appropriately. I felt as if my pain and my problems were addressed adequately and in a manner that was consistent with what I was expecting from any other hospital and more. The staff was extremely supportive and efficient in all aspects including providing me with my medical records online after I was done with the treatment. My broken ankle and leg were looked after very well and I was quite satisfied with how I was treated. Awesome job well done.
