I came in with SEVERE & EXCRUCIATING back pain from kidney stones. I received no treatment. I was left in the ER for THREE HOURS and denied the ability to speak with a doctor. I told two nurses I gave kidney disease and a history of chronic kidney stones. After 2 1/2 hours they sent some guy to the waiting room to tell me kidney stones don’t last more than two days. We’re giving you a pain shot and sending you home. Any number of things could d been wrong like a serious infection, blockage by a stone, or fluid on my kidneys. I was never given a single X-ray, ultrasound, or scan. I waited another 30 mins and no pain shot. After 3 hours I could no longer sit do I simply left. They denied medical care at UF Health Leesburg. I was disgusted and mortified. NOT ONCE did I ask for pain medication. I do not take opiates unless absolutely without a doubt it’s needed. I feel disrespected. I’m saddened UF Health but their name on LRMC. I would not have went there unless I felt like I was dying because I have a $500 copayment. Never again will I seek care here.

The staff is so rude when it comes to billing. They over charged me and refused to look into it because they assumed they were right. They do not treat their patients with respect. I had to call their billing department and wait on hold forever because I was over charged by $25. They should have fixed it on the spot when I brought it up. Instead they dropped me as a patient because I brought up the issue to the staff twice. Horrible communication and do not recommend if you have a copay
