I don't know what I will do, should Dr. Garfield ever retire :/
I wouldn’t want to have any other! He was recommended by my father-in-law. I went to see him for a second opinion for a congenital condition and i love him. Thank you Dr Garfield.

My wife was recently a patient here trying to get diagnosed for some heart-related issues. The initial visits and diagnostic tests went well, but then things went downhill quickly when another diagnostic test was prescribed and had to be scheduled/performed with an outside provider. My wife got passed back and forth between H&HI and the other provider with no one taking a genuine interest in getting the test scheduled. There were also several times she was told she would be contacted but never received a call unless she or I called them. Turns out the other provider requires a consult with my wife's cardiologist before they will schedule. At least a week passes and I receive a call from the office saying they found another provider to do the test so they want to know what day/time works best for my wife and they can schedule it. I tell them as soon as possible and mention we had a week vacation coming up in 2 weeks where we'd be out of town so preferably before that but could be after as well. We never received another call from them and it's been over a month. On top of that, they wanted her to take a medication to "see if it helps". But if she took it, then it would negatively affect the results of the diagnostic test. We're trying to confirm what's wrong before deciding on a course of treatment. Just another doctor in this world who is more interested in treating the symptoms than looking for the cause and it's gut wrenching to see them handle my wife's situation with such neglect.
We've scheduled an appointment with a different cardiologist so hopefully that will go much better. If I could, I would give H&HI zero stars. Perhaps they do well for their patients who have a straight-forward condition that doesn't require much effort on their part but anyone reading this who has a unique situation that requires more attention and time, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere.
NW hospital should change it’s name to the
NW Ritz Carlton!!
My three day stay felt like a vacation! Valet parking, Welcoming Staff (ER) a single room with a view with privacy on the fifth floor….. delightful porters who chatted a bit while being wheeled down to get an MRI and CAT scan…
nurses and Drs were very attentive and considerate. Even the cleaning crew were kind and courteous. If the food had been salted, I’d call it “cuisine!” What more can I say…..
If you added a salon, I’d book it every year!!
Thank you for treating this senior citizen like a Queen! My follow up visit with Dr Turk was also a great experience…. His attention at the hospital was very personal and thorough, just as it was in his office. The office is run top notch. I’ll remember to bring my “fur” on my next visit. The room temp may have been chilly, but the attention that was offered was quite heartwarming!
I would highly recommend this group to anyone that wants to be seen, listened to and feel that you made the right decision by coming to this practice!
