The need to visit an Urgent Care is generally indicative of a less than favorable or suboptimal state of wellness. For many, the idea of seeing a healthcare provider is inherently stressful, even without an illness, and that's ok. However, what is NOT ok is any instance of disrespect or poor treatment directed at those seeking help, especially those who are unwell.

When I first encounter a patient and greet them, I do precisely that—greet them. I expect the same of each and every member of my staff in their treatment of patients with dignity and respect. The very same level of treatment they too desire during an encounter.

It is NOT ok to order patients entering your facility to "Sit down!" Furthermore, it is also NOT ok to answer questions about paperwork with rude and unhelpful comments providing nothing more than confirmation that I am indeed not respected. This is not directed at the providers encountered (doctors and nurses) but rather at the staff tasked with the first impression of the visit, ensuring all necessary paperwork is in order and questions are answered.

I was made aware by a number of staff following this abysmal interaction that it is not the first time. Moreover, they indicated the location had received a number of complaints about the individual responsible for the interaction. Why is this allowed to occur? Life is already hard and I'm no stranger to that, but this type of behavior is wrong and only compounded by its occurrence in a place aimed at helping people to get better (implying that those people looking to get better are currently not well...).

Are you going to allow this type of behavior to continue to occur at your location?

I feel I must address this issue that you had.
I was in the waiting room to be seen.
I heard everything that went on !
I am a medical office manager for 18 years , I have never heard anyone talk to a receptionist the way YOU did !
YOU were the one who was disrespectful, rude, and
condescending when you spoke to Evelyn and even the doctor.
You were demanding medication and you were the one who had no respect who you were talking to ,
even when you were on the phone to the call center.
When you go to MD urgent care you go with the understanding that the facility will take care of you with respect that you deserve as a patient .
You tried to push your way into the back office when they called your husband. You were not even the patient ! I have to commend Evelyn and the staff the way they handled YOU !
In anyone of my offices you would of been asked to leave !!

My husband went to this facility because he tested positive for Covid. He wanted the anti-viral meds to help him feel better. He saw the Dr. and she told him "he wasn't sick enough to have the meds." I called the facility when he returned home and spoke to EVELYN. She was extremely RUDE. I asked her to leave a message for the Dr. to call me. She told me the Dr. was very busy and couldn't promise her calling me back. I asked Evelyn what her name was and she hung up on me. I called the customer service and spoke with Mary. She was trying to be helpful. She called back and spoke to EVELYN - she hung up on Mary too! Mary advised me to go back to the facility and ask to speak with the dr. When I went back to the facility, the medical assistant (dark curly long hair with a strong accent, young girl) came out and was VERY RUDE to me. Insisted that I would not get to speak with the dr. Told me the Dr. was a professional and went to school for 12 years. I asked her what her name was and she turned and walked away from me. So rude to me that another patient made a comment about her "she's not customer friendly." I was told that my husband could speak with the Dr. but I wasn't allowed in. I questioned why another gentleman was told they could bring in their friend but I couldn't go in with my husband. I was told "because you can't." They proceeded to call patients back that came in after us. When I questioned EVELYN why we were still waiting she went to the back to ask. When she returned, my husband was called in but Evelyn walked in front of me and closed the door in my face so I couldn't go in. When my husband came back out, he stated the Dr. still wouldn't give him the anti-viral meds. Evelyn refused to tell me the meds that were called for my husband (due to HIPPA laws) even though he was standing right next to me. The Dr. was too busy to speak with me but when we left we saw her standing in the lobby laughing with Evelyn and another patient waiting. I wouldn't go back to this facility ever again! They were very rude and unprofessional. Mary, the customer service supervisor, advised me to escalate my experience to the corporate office. I was told someone from corporate would call me back within 48 hrs. It's been 4 business days and no one has called me. Each time I've called back Mary puts in another claim but nothing gets done. Apparently customer satisfaction is not a priority for this facility.

Edit to add: Dr. Jay Gorstein, Regional Medical Director, contacted me. He was extremely apologetic to the situation. He agreed that we were not treated in a professional manner. I was told the employees mentioned above will be receiving “counseling” for appropriate customer service.

so i was recommended this place for a rapid covid test and the first red flag I've saw was the receptionist and had no type of customer service by yelling at an ELDERLY to at least politely explain to the lady that they weren't about to prove a specific service that the lady needed. once it was my time to go in for a covid test the nurse I was assigned to look like she had no type of customer service, did not greet me or to see how i was doing. Literally had no type of sympathy what's so ever how you're supposed to be as a nurse. it seemed to me she didn't know or paid attention to what she was doing because she asked me three times if i had allergies. she left and didn't let me know she will be back and a complete different doctor walker in like he was annoyed to take care of me and assumed i had covid without even having my results first. he offered for me to take a medication that he stated that wasn't even approved yet by the law and i find that really suspcious that this clinic is offering that to their patients. The nurse had long curly hair with a strong accent .. it's a shame she acts like a robot like she didn't care at all. who hired her ?? she belongs at mcdonald's because that attitude of hers was unbelievable , also she shoved a a swab on my nose by force that's so wrong.

I don't know what all those other reviews are talking about.....

Very welcoming.. I didn't feel like a piece of meat on a conveyor belt like most doctor office's... Dr. Is very nice and seemed concerned and genuinely wanting to help. The Nurse was super nice, nose stab for the flu and covid test was simple. Front desk lady was very nice and explained everything.. price is not so nice, .... the tablet is just mehhhhhhh. Area was cleaned, room was organized. Everyone was very nice even the ones that were working saying hello. So all in all.. I hope not to be back.... but if I do get sick... this is where I will go

Patients and Clients: everyone is human.. errors will occur, if you disrespect someone for no reason, don't get shocked when you get it right back... JS

From walking in Miss Evelyn was so polite. She is calm and professional with a lobby full of patients and nasty people. The nurse and doctor were efficient and polite.

What's sad is that I used to work for this company. They trained their people back then to take care of their patients and give them the best possible care. I was at this location last week. The medical assistant admitted to being new. Not usually a problem. I asked a simple question about pricing because medical assistants are supposed to give self pay patients the price before they administer tests, procedures, or treatments. Her response was "I don't know that's a front desk question." Lady I did your job. That is a medical assistant question. Also if the medical provider recommends a test, procedure, or treatment, they are supposed to get you to sign an AMA which they did not do! That is a huge liability right there. I don't know who is in charge right now but you got some problems.

I took my daughter here after another location couldn't see her. The staff here was fast, accomodating and very friendly. The health care provider that helped her was amazing! She asked lots of questions, eliminated some possibilities and had a pretty solid diagnosis. It's been only one day and my daughter is already feeling better and has no pain. Couldn't be happier with the service here!
