Fernandina Beach Cycling & Fitness

After going to several Walmart stores and buying a few bikes to see if my wife could ride them comfortably I had to take each one back for a refund. So I decided to look at some local bike stores and came across this store. First visit I spoke with Joel and explained to him what my wife was looking for and asked if I bought a bike and my wife could not ride it properly if I could bring it back. He said yes but only to exchange for another bike but he recommended she come in and test ride a few.

Came back a few days later and Joel brought out a few bikes to let my wife ride around the block. He was very helpful in making her feel comfortable with her selection. I can finally say my wife is happy as can be with her Tuesday March 7 speed beach cruiser. Super comfy and the 7 speed part helps with the inclined roads.

Bikes are a bit pricey here but compared to the quality of bikes we checked out from Walmart, these are much nicer and higher quality material. You get what you pay for.

Great experience here. Getting ready to ride a local trail had a bike stem leak air. We called to see if they had time to fix, they said bring it down. We roll it in and show him the problem. Less than 15 minutes later we were walking out the door. Very courteous, respectful and extremely efficient! For a family visiting the area for the day, their pricing was reasonable!!!

Both my bike's were down. Luckily, I called early this morning and was able to get a house call. I was able to get back on the road. Yay... Thank you.

We had a flat tire on our Joovy zoom 360 jogging stroller while walking around Fernandina. Came in hoping for a patch, but they had the tube and replaced it right then and there and filled up the other tires. Great service, quick and thorough!

By far the best bike shop within 100 miles. Two gentleman that helped me were extremely knowledgeable and very polite.

Ron and Joel fine-tuned the rear wheel, fixed a bearing error I had made, and offered advice to help get my vintage bike on the road after an end-to-end rebuild. Price was reasonable, expertise and interest were deep. (1991 Trek 720 Multi-Track.)

I wish I remembered the mans name that assisted me. I was shopping around for gloss black cruiser fenders. They didn’t have exactly what I was looking for. After I told him about a project I was working on and that I’d be drilling holes in the fender, he went in the back and brought out a set of used fenders and said Merry Christmas! They weren’t gloss black but he hooked me up and think it’ll make the project look even better.
