The McKinney Monarch location is a perfect airport for pattern work with close proximity to the practice area. The Monarch staff and CFIs are excellent and a pleasure to work with.
Both the McKinney and Addison locations are great, Addison can be a wee bit busy sometimes with all the corporate traffic.
What I wrote before applies to both locations:
Very professional service. Excellent instructor and modern G1000 Cessna aircraft.
A great place to fly in the north Dallas area.

Our family took my grandfather here as a gift for his 88th birthday. He was in the Navy and used to fly planes. He really missed it and this just made his day. He couldn’t stop smiling when they landed. Everyone was so professional and accommodating. Hannah was with him all the way and she was the best! I would recommend this experience and business to everyone. Thank you so much!

Great, locally-owned, family-run business. From the flight school to maintenance and charters, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and goes out of their way to take care of you. I did a 172 checkout with Sar over the summer. He was laid back and made sure I was comfortable with everything.

I originally started flight training at the McKinney location, but due to an inept airport manager they could not renew the lease and I had to finish training in Addison. The instructors are top notch, and I had the honor of being trained by a chief instructor, Jeff Wallach. I had a really good time and made it to check ride in 66 hours. The aircraft are all professionally maintained by in house A&P's and are late model Cessna 172SP's with the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. Did half my private training here before switching schools. Had to relearn most of what I knew at the new school and it ended up costing me a lot of money. The $300 flight bag they have you buy is kind of a waste as well :/ Aviator Air in grand prairie was much better for private training and ATP for instrument and beyond has been great

So today I went on my first discovery flight, and best experience of my life. My instructor Karen was so nice and patient. One great thing is she didn’t at all treat me like another number at flight school. I would prefer this to anyone trying to become a pilot.

Definitely the best flight school at Addison airport and the best in DFW
All the instructors treat you with respect and try their best to help you through all your struggles as a flight student they have a beautiful fleet of Cessna 172SP’s with Garmin, G1000 Glass Cockpits What are you trying to get your private or trying to fly for the airlines? Monarch is definitely the best choice and I would recommend it to anybody looking to become a pilot.

The Discovery Flight was an amazing experience. The pilot instructor, Avery, was quite knowledgeable and explained the basics of the flight very nicely. I would recommend this center for your first Discovery Flight.
