I enjoy the North Addison Flyers. The school is staffed well and the instruction is conducive to positive learning. I enjoy that I can fly with different instructors who each bring different ways of looking at each task differently. I have learned something from each instructor. I enjoy the fact that there are a variety of configurations for the 172s and it reinforces a good learning curve.

I attended American Flyers Addison in Jan/Feb 2022 for my Instrument rating, and I had an outstanding experience. The curriculum's structure is thought-out and planned very well to help students understand each topic before progressing to the next. I also benefitted from the the use of their on-site simulators to learn and practice before flying in an aircraft, which was helpful from both a learning and cost perspective.

The instructors also played a huge role in my experience, each and all were fantastic in their knowledge, teaching abilities, and show of support. Same can be said about the scheduling and leadership staff who were great at communication and accommodating my schedule.

They don't know how to deal with international students.
Rude service.
Do not recommend anybody to deal with this school.

In a rude manner they insisted that I have to send them my passport and visa in order to they put me on to the schedule for a single spin training endorsement flight.
A gentleman on the phone call said that they were not going to break the law and they cannot verify my documents at the front desk, they want them to see now over the email, then he started shouting that he is not going to argue with me on that.

I went there to get my instrument rating. I attended the ground written prep and passed my written test at the end of my first weekend of training. Being from Arkansas, I tried to get the flight and ground training when I was able to take a long weekend from work. Their staff was very accommodating to my needs. I was able to get my instrument completed in 5 weekends. I passed the check ride with no issues. The entire staff was very professional and helpful. They were also very helpful getting my VA benefits approved and paid. Overall, I highly recommend this school and will be back to get my commercial rating this summer.

My son attended American Flyers accelerated instrument add on to his basic CFI-Airplane certificate in May 2022. Overall, his experience was excellent and we recommend American Flyers Addison location based on his experience.

My son is a senior in a professional pilot degree program at a university in the Midwest. He needed to complete the instrument add-on in a week between the completion of the regular school year and the beginning of the summer session where he planned to work as a CFI.

In assisting him with finding an opportunity to complete the instrument add-on in this short period of time, I called several places but only American Flyers had the flexibility to accommodate. The other programs that I spoke with started their program at regular intervals where the sequencing just did not align or they did not offer the G-1000 avionics package that my aviator is the most comfortable with.

My aviator had a dedicated team of two alternating instructors who he rated as excellent and supportive. While he could not complete all of his flight training in the G-1000, the scheduling desk was able to make sure that his preparation flight and his check ride were scheduled in the G-1000.

He passed his check ride on the first attempt and received very positive feedback on his performance by the Designated Pilot Examiner.

We would not hesitate to use American Flyers, Addison, TX again and do plan to do so as we have another aviator on her way up now.

I Found American Flyers having already done most of my PPL training on my own with a close friend who is a CFII . I was working full time and had a very hard time getting things done in a timely manner. Andrea and Kevin were able to look at the training I had already done and helped me build a plan to meet my goal of having my PPL done buy January 1st. Travis G and Andy Were my instructors both were very knowledgeable and really cared about making sure I was 100% ready for my check ride. I was able to be done by December 12th despite having to cancel for wether 3 times. I now am getting ready to start flying with American flyers full time and to start my career as a pilot. 10/10 100% would recommend American flyers Addison to anybody who is thinking about a career in aviation.
