This is where the locals go! We were the only 2 non-Latvian speakers. Everyone was so friendly and helped us though. The baths are separated by sex, and yup, you're gonna be totally nude, so be prepared. But it's amazing. Read the wall at entry before to get an idea of the process and make sure you buy the things you need at the desk (all very cheap!) including towels, slippers, honey scrubs, shampoo, and maybe even a fun hat to stave off the heat in the Russian sauna!

Worst sauna I've ever visited. Nothing (towel, soap, etc.) included in the price. Needs to be renovated. Staff was unfortunately not friendly at all.

The place is old and is in need of renovation. Needs a deep clean as well cos the place is dirty! Don’t be misled by the photos on their website.

It did the job tho hence 3 stars.

I visited on Friday evening. The place was not very crowded. The sauna room was cool-ish and very wet. Looks like they economize on fuel. The place was dirty. No-one was cleaning anything during my 3 hour visit. Front desk staff was completely uninterested to provide any information (I speak local language well). Not recommended.
The steam room was stinking so much, noone was going in.

Not as fancy as other spa facilities in Riga, this is a traditional Latvian bath house and definitely worth a visit. A truly authentic Latvian bath house experience. Left the place feeling invigorated and would highly recommend it. Bring your toiletries some cheap flip flops or buy a pair at the entrance.

13 Euros, bring flip-flops & towel, prepare to strip off (optional) in segregated male/female spaces. Now. Sauna, dump-bucket and fridgarium (cold pool) 3 times, then tell me you don't feel better. Great Experience of local latvian life. What are you waiting for?

Staff is very very rude, the sauna itself is not very warm, it is quite dirty and female dressing room smelled like cigarettes. I would not recommend.

The sauna and steam room were mighty hot and the cold pool was .... invigorating! Nice to use a bunch of oak twigs with leaves for a personal thrashing - very original. You don’t need clothes as it is a ‘his and hers’ facility. The decor is unimpressive but did not detract from the experience
