Wellton Riga Hotel & SPA

The hotel room we got was facing the river on the very top floor, therefore we had a fantastic view of the city. The room was very clean and modern, the bathroom had a hand-shower which was absolutely fantastic (I've never seen that in any hotel in Europe).
The staff at the check-in counter were able to speak English and provided great hospitality. The breakfast was adequate, although I was not a big fan of the coffee from their automated coffee machine. It did not taste fresh, instead something you would get at a fuel/petrol station.

Absolutely brilliant experience all along. We only stayed for one night, but will definitely be back now that we know how amazing this place is. The service at the reception was superb. Unfortunately, we didn't get the name of the lovely girl (we checked in on the evening of the 1st of September) but she has made our day - friendly, professional and beautiful smile. She is a true testament to an excellent customer service 👏 The room was spacious yet cosy, very clean throughout.

Very good hotel in the old town, with amazing service from the reception staff. The room is warm, comfortable and clean. The location is the best since the central bus station is 5 minutes on foot. tram and local bus stops are also right next to it. The STOCKMANN department store is also very close. The breakfast is amazing because it has everything. There is a restaurant inside the hotel.

Located in the heart of old Riga this hotel is a great option if your staying for over a couple of days, the price of the hotel should fit pretty much any budget, comparing to the nearby competitors this place has a great price, service and facilities such as the spa, breakfast room and a restaurant within the building. This is now my second visit to this particular hotel and as always I'm left happy with the customer service and highly trained staff, rooms are very tidy and spacious so this is one of the few hotels I can most definitely recommend to any person traveling with a family/kids, alone or as a couple. Everybody feels welcome here.

Location is very good, close to most places of interest. Staff OK - professional, efficient. Very good Internet connection, spacious rooms and sensible bathroom. Breakfast - OK - maybe not the greatest but good.
The hotel is a bit old and worn-out, in quite a few places there were signs of refurbishment needed. One of the elevators broke and wasn't repaired until late hours next day. No amenities in the bathroom, you need to specifically request cleaning.

Very high quality hotel, unfortunately the room didn't come with a bath, but we only requested it on the day so may have been too late. We couldn't figure out how to use the heating, as the radiators didn't turn on, but the room was very warm, so it may have been centrally controlled to be at an ambient comfortable temperature. The breakfast was top tier and the customer service was exceptional.

The location of the hotel is great, but the road is noisy and you can hear that noise from the room. Breakfast on the other side was one of the best I've had and the staff very friendly. We arrived early and we had to wait till three to get our room key because the room wasn't ready which i can understand if the hotel is busy and fully booked. But the experience overall was positive.

A well located hotel close to shops, public transport (to the airport as well) and ample dining options. Hotel room itself is a little dated but very generous in size and also very clean. My room for 1 had a couch with coffee table, desk as well as a double bed. There is an area for children in the lobby as well as lots of seating for those waiting to check in/out. Breakfast is included as part of booking and there is lots of variety for both hot and cold food as well as fruits and pastries. Even nearing the end of breakfast service, there was lots of hot food being brought out and staff were attentive to take away used plates. Staff are friendly and helpful across the hotel, across both front desk and spa staff. The masseuse staff are also professional and the massage facilities are clean. Hotel was great value and would recommend for solo travellers as well as families.
