We walked in on a Sunday afternoon because we wanted a bite to eat before going for a drive in the mountains. We stopped in this place because there was a sign out front that said "Authentic Mexican Fish Tacos" and once you put the words "fish" and "taco" together, my mother is a goner. When we walked in the decor was super cute (lots of antiques and art to check out) and there was only one other table there. The waitress was super friendly and helpful and informed us that they had fish tacos because they had gotten fresh tortillas in from Mexico. We got the French Onion soup to start and when we had the first bite, we knew we had made the right decision in stopping here. It was flavourful and rich, and they accommodated my lactose intolerance by putting the cheese biscuit on the side. The fish tacos came next and I swear I almost cried because they were so good. I honestly have no words to explain my feelings towards these tacos - you'll just have to trust me. I guess we finished the condiments for the tacos because they gave us all the leftover fish they had to finish up. By the time we finished our tacos, we were so full but the waitress said they had rhubarb crisp as well and who were we to refuse! The crisp was a perfect balance of sour and sweet (as rhubarb crisp should be!) and was the perfect end to a perfect meal.

I don't know why there weren't more people in this place when we went in but do yourself a favour and check it out. Go out of your way to go to this place. It is worth the drive from wherever you're coming from!

**Excellent quality, portions and service.
I have never been able to fault a thing about this restaurant. (Maybe to stay open during the winter?) The portions are large and extremely tasty. I know many who are regulars. I would highly recommend the fish and chips.

This restaurant allowed us to wait 1 1/2 hours and still no food. At 2:45 pm and few people in the restaurant. The music was loud, we asked for it to be turned down which it was until the manager overrode the waitress and cranked it back up. When we talked to him he informed us that he did not cater to individual tables. Regarding the delay in food delivery, he informed us that he was busy with inventory. I’ve rarely met anyone so rude. I told him I’d post my sentiments on social media and he informed us he didn’t care. Rare behaviour for someone in the service industry. Can’ Recommend the place.

We came here based on Google reviews but they may have been having an off night. The couple next to us left after 10 minutes and not receiving any attention. The fries were good, the sauteed mushrooms were canned, service was definitely not prompt. We will try somewhere else next time.
