Longview Steakhouse

Amazing experience from start to finish. Everything we ordered was made perfectly and delicious. Definitely worth the hour drive from Calgary. We even made reservations for our next visit before leaving.

This place amazes me every time. The food is beyond amazing.. and our waiter is always the highlight of our night. This family run restaurant is an absolute must on everyone's dining bucket list. Well worth the wait !!

Several things make this restaurant unique: It is in a remote location, yet very busy and popular, the scenery is spectacular with the Rocky Mountains close by and we could admire the view from our table.

My meal was superb and beautiful to look at. The seafood was lightly cooked and fresh. The tossed salad had a dressing that was deliciously mysterious- what ingredients made it so good? Rounding it off, the waiter loved his job and added to this memorable evening.

If you don't eat beef, there is lots of other choices, including poultry and seafood

Four of us took the short drive from Calgary - hidden gem, or what?!

We booked two rooms on the property (the only two?) and spent the night. Basically everything was perfect - the rooms, the food, the service and the overall hospitality (thanks for everything, Sam).

If I had to complain about something …. the horses next door were aloof. No interest in meeting us at all. 😠😉

Got to be in the top 3 steak places we've been to anywhere in the world (approx 40 countries visited). Service is always excellent and the food speaks for itself. Always a great dining experience. No wonder it takes 4 months to get a reso. Made our next reso but couldn't get in until Dec. Worth the wait!

There are no words for the overall experience here, the food, the service and the atmosphere were absolutely top shelf. I started off with the beef carpaccio and my wife had the seafood Mozambique, both were unbelievably good. Textures, flavors, ingredients all absolutely mind warping.
Before the main course we both had the soup which was Mediterranean beef and vegetable I believe and once again it was an assault of flavors that complemented each other perfectly.
Main event for myself was the ribeye and shrimp while my wife got the pepper steak. Both medium rare which was absolutely perfect. I am very hesitant to order steak when I go out as someone who owns 5 BBQ's there aren't many that can match what we have at home off the grill but they didn't disappoint.
I was emotional and at one point I caught myself tearing up having just had a delicious bite of that wonderful steak, gazing at my wife across from me with the smokey red sun setting over the mountains over her shoulder, it was truly more than just dinner. This brought a deep sense of happiness to my soul.
I cannot reccomend this wonderful place enough, I cannot wait to go back and visit these wonderful people as soon as I can get a reservation. Well worth the wait!!!!

Literally worth waiting for! The hospitality was exceptional, the ambiance was cosy and elegant, and the food…I’m still salivating over. Hands down my favourite restaurant - end stop. Highly recommend for a date night, family celebration, or a night out to celebrate. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for everything!
