Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bonnyville, an IHG Hotel

A very nice hotel. We always like staying in Holoday Inn Expresses because you know what you are getting. Nice rooms, f rigidly and helpful staff, and great free breakfasts. And this one was no exception. All of that on top of super friendly staff that were very good to us. Five stars.

Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable.

Breakfast is a full plate dining experience.

Pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center are awesome.

The bed sheets are made of cheap polyester making for an uncomfortable sleep. The washing machine was broken. The hottub jets didn't work. All of the equipment ij the gym was also broken. The hotel staff was friendly tho, that was the only good thing about staying at this hotel. I usually stay at holiday inn expecting a nice hotel with a comfy bed. This one is an exception. It's in need of some reno and maybe new ownership

Deadllbolt between adjoining rooms didn't work. Waited an hour for them to move me to a secure room. Also the hot tube and sauna weren't working. The pool heat was also off. Stayed here mostly because of the hot tub and pool.

Nice affordable stay. Room was clean, breakfast was good with nice options. There is a pool, meeting rooms, business centre and gym. Nicely located.

I’ve stayed here previously and had no issues. Check in was quick with very little conversation and the room was clean and comfortable. The room I stayed in does require maintenance. The heater works but the fan has an extremely loud ticking noise indicating that it is making contact with internal components. East plugs were required to sleep.

How was my stay at château hot and dry? Well the box of my pickup would have been more welcoming!! If you are a hockey team/ lacrosse/ volleyball/ heck even a golf team I HIGHLY recommend YOU TO AVOID this hotel!! They have a 0 tolerance level for walking to the ice machine: visiting / or anything other then sleeping past 10pm, even though the pool is open until 11… the police “cleared the halls” shortly before quiet time. The good news is Bonnyville must be a very safe community that 3 officers had time and resources to ensure we were all locked In our room at a timely fashion this was not a drill!!(the pool was still open) We were even the “good team” I would hate to see the wrath Rained down on the “bad team” . I understand that regular patrons are the bread and butter— BUT THEN DONT BOOK TEAMS!! We also pay AND FILL 15-30 or more Additional rooms on a weekend!!! Do your job and PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Do you think I would stay in this sub par hotel if it was not for hockey????? If you need an accommodation engineer I am available at an hourly rate plus additional mileage because I will refuse to stay on location!!
