Group camp site was nice. It was spacious and quiet. Lots of trails to explore. Easy access to the lake. It was our first time camping as a family and we all said we would love to go back to Moose Lake. Staff were very helpful as well.

Been going here for years the campground is always very nice, at the beach you can park your boat and there are many calm trails the stalls are always clean and there are some trees inbetween each stall for some privacy

I have visited this campground many, many times whilst growing up. I've camped there over 10 years consecutively and just recently visited there again after a 7 year hiatus.

Between the Dwarf Mistletoe (what makes the tree look like it has a witches broom), and the damage done by pine beetles and the sort, the fact that the forest is dying is evident. The downside to a predominantly jackpine forest is that it needs a fire to be rejuvenated.

Seeing the toll that the insects and diseases have inflicted on the trees saddens me, but it's a natural cycle that these forests go though.

The campsites are great as always, albeit significantly more open than before.

The drinking water hasn't been tested by AHS, so it's been deemed non potable. Take some water with you for drinking/cooking.

From late July to mid/late August, take a ice cream pail or two(!) with you, there will be thousands of wild blueberries ripe for the picking out in the underbrush.

The beach isn't very big, but it is a naturally sandy area. The water was clear the first night we were out, but a few days later, there was an algae bloom at the shore. There are notices for blue-green algae posted, but no blooms have been documented in the summer of 2022 (as per maintenence staff). It is recommended that you have a shower/rinse off afterwards for swimmers itch though.

Over the years we have had the pleasure of experiencing a plethora of wildlife, between the deer, tree squirrels, flying squirrels, ospreys, pelicans, hawks, an assortment of woodpeckers, and plenty of other birds, there is always something around to be spotted by a keen eye.

There are well over 10km of trails within the park grounds. The staff are quite diligent in removing the downed trees across the trails. Between the lakeshore trails and the fire road trails, there is plenty of space for you to explore. (more blueberries!!)

Overall, I love this campground mostly for nostalgia's sake. But, it is clean and quiet, and will be a place that I will continue to visit.

Awesome place to go for camping with kids, family or friends. You can sleep in your tent or in the cabin. Showers, toilets, washing room, water sports equipment, life jackets all are available here. Fire place is great for 20 or more ppl! It's huge. Kids playground close to cabins. Tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, all for you to use. Old but clean place. One of our fave spots for camping 🏕

Wonderful place to have a picnic, do camping, hiking or simply be outdoor in the nature. The water seemed still warm in September and there were people swimming.

This campground seems quite nice. We used it for the day and made the most out it.

Good park for cross country skiing even if no trails are manicured. Fireroad Trail is beautiful (but the one marked "X-Country Ski Trail" does not seem to exist at all). All the trails make for good nature walks too in the haunting jack pine forests at any time of year.

We were there for the heatwave, I'm sure everyone was running their AC if they had it. The power didn't miss a beat. Sites are well kept, we hiked the trails around the park, and hit the beach. Everything was tidy(including the outgouses), the park was great. We will be back for sure.

Moose lake has great pike fishing.

Fyi, The boat launch is a very shallow launch.

Bonus tip, the Franchere store just down the road sells firewood at a better cost than in park.
