The hotel was commissioned in the 60's but still a lovely place to stay. It has been very well maintained with appropriate upgrades. The room and bathroom were wonderful. All staff we met were friendly and keen to help. The breakfast is a good option also with fresh hot and cold food to select from. It is one of the best I have experienced.
The lounge bar is good to catch-up for a quick drink and/or light meal.
Will definitely revisit when I return to Brisbane.

Room was great, and facilities pretty good

Stayed at this place for just the night on the weekend and it was pretty good. I have been to several conferences here, breakfasts but never stayed in the rooms. I managed to be upgraded to one of the spa suites which are very spacious, and the separate lounge and bedroom areas were great.

The spa is not that big, but adequate if thats what you are looking for. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains were great for a sleep in.

The outdoor pool wasn't too bad, and the spa was ok but could have been a bit hotter in temperature. The pool bar service was a downer as they were still there, but not serving which wasn't very good customer service.

Parking is available, but there doesn't seem to be a discount for hotel guests as public use this also so this is something the hotel could look at to entice people to come as its a bit steep for tight spaces and potentially outdoor parking depending on how full it is.

Overall quite good, and would use again

We started with a family buffet breakfast each morning 🌄.

We booked 2 rooms. Loved our bathroom bidet. Such a cool novelty. Beds were very comfortable too. Supplied bathrobe was a nice touch.

Loved the view of the pool and buildings from one room and the botanic gardens from the other room. Sunday morning there are market stalls across the road at the botanic gardens which sell quality and natural foods and anything you can expect snd more. We even had a picnic there on our last day.

Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly staff who possessed endless patience to the millions of our questions and an incredible malleability to our changing plans. The ambience of the lobby was so elegant and comfortable, accompanied by pleasurable music.
Breakfast was constructed of top quality, fresh products every single day- without a miss. Our room was spacious with a delightful view of the greenery of the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, almost resembling a jungle. The beds were serene, filled with a variety of pillows and an option to select your favourite type.
The pool was uncomfortably cold for swimming, possibly due to the time of year. The jacuzzi however provided a beautiful finish to the day, especially after sunset, thanks to the glistening lights of nighttime Brisbane and the dynamic lighting of the hotel.
The Sunday Market in the Botanical Gardens was engrossing, full of vibrant colours and delicious treats. The Riverside Ferry Terminal was a close walking distance and became our favourite way to pass the time. Smooth rides and wind in your hair. Total bliss. A nice walk through the Gardens and Goodwill Bridge will lead you to Southbank where you can enjoy a range of attractions and appetising restaurants.

A Grand Hotel with charm and character. Staff are attentive and genuinely care for their guests. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The standout for us was the Restaurant. Wow! The meals were so delicious with a first class presentation. Worthy of a return. A very special mention to Jessica in the Restaurant. She made our night and has a bright future in Hospitality.

Nice basic accommodation, right across the road from the botanic Gardens and easy walking distance to Queen st mall and southbank. Rooms were clean. Pool looked nice, didn't get a chance to visit. Breakfast was a bit pricey so skipped that.

I loved this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is very comfy. The location was perfect for me as the City Botanic Gardens were right opposite the hotel. In only a few minutes walk you are in the shopping street or at the river.
The pool and spa were great as well on a hot Brisbane day.

Staff, especially at the bar, was really nice. Will definitely book again when in Brisbane next time.

Unique and very grand hotel located perfectly next to the botanical gardens. The rooms were spacious and provided everything you’d need ( coffee machine, toiletries, towels, room service, a super big and comfy bed!!).

The pool was a little underwhelming it’s a lot smaller than on photos and reception staff were slightly cold, however the room itself was great so we would stay again!
